My #wednesdaywalk share, as inspired by @tattoodjay.

Keeping up with views of the Mississippi River for Wednesday walks, I thought I'd share our recent walk in the Wisconsin state park known as Wyalusing. How to describe this park? Well:

Wyalusing State Park, a natural gem nestled in southwest Wisconsin, rests at the majestic meeting point of the Wisconsin and Mississippi Rivers. This park boasts breathtaking panoramic views from atop 500-foot bluffs, revealing the tapestry of the river valleys below. Explore miles of hiking trails weaving through diverse landscapes, passing ancient Native American burial mounds that whisper tales of the past. Birdwatchers will find delight in the abundance of species, and campers can choose from numerous sites to spend a night under the starlit sky. Whether you're seeking adventure, serenity, or a touch of history, Wyalusing State Park provides an unforgettable escape into Wisconsin's natural wonders.

And, aside from the views of the Wisconsin and Mississippi Rivers converging, the landscapes of Wisconsin and Iowa, we saw plenty of hawks, bald eagles, cardinals, and tons of woodpeckers in the area. Sadly, I didn't bring my proper lens with us; we saw at least 15 pileated woodpeckers...and what a sight. They almost look like dinosaurs flying about, from tree to tree.

We received, for Christmas, an annual Wisconsin state park pass for 2024. This was our first state park visit of the year, and our goal is to visit at least 6 new parks this year as a family. Hopefully, that will bring about many more photos to share on Hive.

With so many trails to explore with so little time, where to start? Well, I do hope we figure it out (and at the very least, I'll just follow my wife and daughter's orders!)

And look...no Crocs needed!
