A Wednesday Walk at Dawn

My #wednesdaywalk share, as inspired by @tattoodjay

As exciting as the new job at the foundry has been over the past month, the job does require an additional 30 minutes every morning for the commute. Now, that might seem a bit, but honestly it's 30 miles in 30 minutes with no stop lights or stop signs or heavy traffic to manipulate my stress and anxiety levels. So there is definitely that...and throw a good album or book on the pods...well, even better. Still, the early commute makes me get my morning walks in sooner rather than later, and autumnal morning light makes it hard to to get some fun photos to share.

Still, I tried...and attempted to play around with artificial street light on autumn tree leaves this morning.

Sort of interesting, but honestly too difficult to capture with my Pixel 7 Pro camera. I then decided to get a landscape thought in with the early morning sun. Again, not as exciting as being there in person this morning, but it was something.

Again, the light was low, but I wonder if I had brought a small tripod if more light could have been captured by the camera's sensor. Who knows...I guess I'll try it next time!

The photos may not have turned out as I hoped, but the walk was amazing. There was a cool breeze from the south, stars and the moon overhead, and not a single person on the trails. It was definitely a 2 mile walk that I enjoyed. Who knows, maybe the lack of a toxic boss and more relaxed work atmosphere I head to every morning is finally starting to pay off...making these type of walks that much more enjoyable? It might very well be the case.

Thanks for checking out my #wednesdaywalk post. I hope everyone had a wonderful Wednesday too. Until next week!

I think you and the Pixel 7 did a great job - low light and no tripod ends mostly bad. But IMO they look really good.

30 mins without stress is a great deal 👍

Do you have one of those as well? I know for the low light captures a tripod is needed, but I did give it a chance on the fly.

I don't but saw a lot of reviews about the phone. And the camera is impressive. There is a Tech-Youtber who run a comparison of 3 phones. Samsung 23, iPhone 14 and the Pixel. He made several pictures with all 3 phones, and asked his community to vote which one they think looks the best - but nobody knews which belongs to which phone. The Pixel won in nearly every category. It's an awesome phone!

Such a beautiful time of the day!

My favourite time. And sunset. To walk. Although I suck at waking up so rarely get to experience the mornings unless it's a school day and my son is with me.

Breathtaking though :)

The photo of the lake is outstanding 🔥

Thank you! Yeah, the motivation is tough, especially with little ones. This week, I've forced myself to go in the morning and at night (if weather permits) as part of my newfound "stoicism", lol - I'm curious if that keeps up come Wisconsin January temperatures!

Well they say, "There's no such thing as bad weather. Only bad clothing." Or something like that.

Stoicism is highly under-rated!

Also... the quiet and solitude if you have kids. And the light! And that lake 👀

I'd make it up at least once a month to experience that 😈

that sounds not to bad a commute with very little traffic

Beautiful photos

and yes in low light a tripod is very handy to have you can take longer exposures and capture more light

Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk :)
