The Chain Of Dolls' Death

I wrote a story about this cosplsy I had done in the past.

The striped and colorful tent of the circus and Laciann, who was sitting between the audience and was looking at the stage while the color was drained from her face and her body was tense with worry.

On the stage of the show, one of the volunteer spectators held a clown doll in her hands and kept putting her hands and legs in strange angles, and at the same time, the hands and legs of the clown on the stage also would take the same positions.

Laciann could hear the clown's bones cracking, and with her hands on her chest in prayer, she begged the gods to end this nightmare soon.

Finally the show was over and the audience clapped for the clown and she bowed and entered the preparation room through a door. Laciann also got up and passed through the crowd of spectators and ran to the room and knocked on the door.
"Can I come in?"

A voice answered cheerfully:
"Sure."

Laciann entered and did not recognize the woman who was sitting behind the dressing table at first glance, and after a few moments, she realized that she was the same clown who removed her short white wig and her long curly black hair was revealed.
"Your show was fantastic."

The woman smiled.
"I'm glad you think so. But when I looked at you, your face was terrified and it was obvious that you were in agony."

"I don't doubt your skill, but seeing that scene made me very anxious. I was curious to know if you felt any pain?"

The woman took a napkin from her table and began to remove her makeup.
"No, I didn't feel any pain."

"Aren't you worried about breaking your bones during the show?"

"I'd be lying if I said no."

"What made you interested in doing a show like this?"

The woman put the napkin on the table and turned her face towards Laciann and smiled.
"You have a lot of questions, don't you?"

Laciann's cheeks reddened.
"I am sorry."

"It's okay. Come sit here so we will talk."

And she took a stool and placed it next to her chair and Laciann sat on that stool.

"Many years ago when I was a teenager, I went to a circus and saw a clown on stage doing a puppet show, the same show you saw tonight.

Like you, I felt bad after seeing that show and I went to that clown and asked him why he is doing this. He answered me that he enjoys being the center of attention and taking others' breath away.

He said that the audience who see this show are of three categories, sadists who like to volunteer to move the clown's arms and legs at will, masochists who like to be the clown and experience the feeling of becoming an authorityless doll and the third category, people like you who find this show painful.

"How did you get from the third category to the second category?"

The woman smiled mischievously.
"Before that, I entered the first category."

Laciann's eyes widened.
"How?"

"That clown named Raylan encouraged me to play the role of puppeteer once on stage and I very reluctantly agreed and that's how the sadistic feelings that were dormant inside me were awakened."

"And how did you become a doll?"

"Raylen's hands and legs were severely injured in one of the shows, and he could no longer perform and stayed at home, and after a while, he fell into a state of insanity and committed suicide.

This issue disturbed my psyche so much that it made me take on the role of a doll so that I could reduce my pain a little.

Sadness sat on Laciann's face.
"I'm really sorry."

The woman smiled.
"No problem, this happened years ago. Now I do it for the love of being a doll.

By the way, do you want to play the puppeteer in tomorrow night's show?"

And this is how Laciann joined the chain of dolls' death.
