The Explorers || The Pixelverse Origin

In an overpopulated world, all its inhabitants were faced with a series of problems but the worst of it all was the lack of resources. The available resources are way less than the population and that means the survival of humanity is at stake.

After a statistical analysis was carried out it was found that the ratio of population to resources is 30 to 1 and this made all the leaders of the world come together to find a solution to the problem.

After searching for solutions in their world to no avail they began looking towards other worlds. This led to the discovery of a planet by a group of scientists. A world parallel to their world and there in the world later known as The Pixelverse, it is discovered to contain many resources that will help restore order to their world. The technological readings from this newfound world were so high that the leaders knew they had to bring it down into their world.

The Pixelverse is shaped in the form of a game with levels and a Key was at the end of the last level and they found out that the key will be used to unlock the resources in the Pixelverse which would make it possible to be transported into their world.

The scientists worked on finding a pathway into the world and they had to call on the best computer experts who could invent an algorithm that would create a portal into this new world.

After many trials, the portal was created successfully and the leaders knew they would need volunteers to help play the game, pass the levels, and use the key to unlock all the resources.

They decided it was time to get the people involved so a message was broadcasted worldwide with a need for volunteers who would venture into the world to unlock the resources needed for human survival.

A team of 50 people is needed between the ages of 10-30 to go into the other world and play the game, pass the levels, and finish the game. This team would be called The Explorers and their goal is to get The Key at the end of the last level.

Some parents stopped their children from volunteering while others encouraged their children to volunteer since it's for the good of the world and it will help save humanity.

After the team was formed they were given orientations about what they are to do once inside the pixelverse. There are five levels to unlocking the key that will give them the power to bring back all the resources into our world and of course the levels gets difficult in each level.

They will be given five lives immediately after they pass through the portal into The Pixelverse and their live count will look like five lines tattooed on their forehead.

The Explorers are now inside the pixelverse ready to start playing the game but what they failed to know is that there was an important secret that was kept from them all.

The Pixelverse is a bit similar to their world but the bizarre thing about the two worlds is that time works differently in both worlds. A day in Pixelverse equals to one week in their world.

So the question we should be asking is this; Will they work together and achieve their goal? Can they finish all the levels in time? Will they be able to unlock the key? I guess we will have to wait and see...

And I hear the Earthlings speak really slowly compared to the Pixelians!

Great entry.

In a matter of life, I believe the gamers will do their utmost best to unlock the levels. It surely will be difficult but there's always a way. Great story

I like the way you tweaked the story to add details about the volunteers and how the game play would progress. Brilliant. So the government is the organization. Interesting.

Your ideas are intriguing.

Well done.

Lots of ideas and a great storyline, you made it look like I didn't understand the assignment, and truth be told, I did not understand the prompt but the way you passed this information made me get a clearer picture of what to deliver.

You did justice to this!!

Hey @rukkie, I loved your concept of a parallel world, The Pixelverse, and the challenge of unlocking its resources to save humanity. Of course, the idea of time working differently in the two worlds may not be new to us as humans, but it was a great addition to your story.

You made me sit back and imagine the characters and also created a sense of anticipation about their fate. Well done, girl!!!
