Spending The Weekend With A Friend~`W.E #182

Have you ever gotten a surprise visit from a friend? How did it feel? Were you happy to see them or...

My weekends are mostly for me to relax and have fun in my way but what I didn't account for was the surprise I got during the weekend from a friend of mine.

It all started yesterday on a Sunday afternoon. I was relaxing and watching movies on my phone when I got a knock on my door. I wasn't expecting anyone so I peeped through the door hole to see who it was.

I couldn't believe my eyes seeing my friend Aliyah. She knocked again and I immediately swung the door open, revealing her wide and beautiful smile.

"Surprise!", She shouted while pulling me into a big hug.

I still couldn't believe it was her. It's been about two years since I last saw her. Aliyah and I worked together once as teachers before she moved to town. We do keep in touch now and then but I never thought I'd be seeing her. We went back inside while laughing and talking.

"You never told me you would be visiting. What if I wasn't home?", I asked her.

" Girl, you are always home on weekends, I mean how else would you get enough rest? Besides it wouldn't be a surprise if I told you beforehand", she replied while laughing.

We sat down on the chair and immediately started gisting and pulling each other's legs. I got her some refreshments while we talked like never before.

I was hoping the power supply would be restored so we could watch some movies, then I remembered I was watching a movie on my phone before she came in and offered that we see it together but she came up with the idea that we play some games.

I remember that year when she stayed close, how we always played board games together, especially the ludo game, and how fun it used to be.

It's been a while since I played the ludo game so I had to go search for where I might have kept it. It took a while but I finally found it.

We played that for a while reminiscing about the times we worked together and how much I have missed us hanging out together. We took turns winning, laughing and just enjoying each other's company. It was so much fun having her around that I wished she didn't have to go.

I walked her down to the bus station, she got onto the bus and I waved her goodbye.

As I walked back home, I couldn't keep the smile off my face. There is nothing as good as staying home and enjoying the company of loved ones.

Later that night, I got a call from her telling me she had gotten back home. I thanked her for making my day and also promised to visit her someday.
