There are more than 6000 music genres around the world, and each genre has thousands or even millions of fans. Honestly, I don't have any obsession with the genre of music, I listen to any kind of music that is pleasing to my ears and according to my mood.

I'm not a very angry person, I just sometimes get angry due to work fatigue and listening to music calms me down a lot, so I love music. Especially when I am angry, I listen to classical or light music and they are healing for me. Frankly, I'm not someone who listens to extreme music a lot, but after a research I read today, I started to think that when I get angry, I should experience extreme music as well.

Many people think that listening to extreme music and loud music such as metal and punk increases anger, but a scientific study says the opposite. According to research by the University of Queensland, a public research institution in Brisbane, Australia, extreme music calms rather than angers. Click here to view the original research article.

Leah Sharman and Dr. Genevieve Dingle studied 39 extreme music listeners aged 18-34, and the study revealed that extreme music calms the listener.

Some of Leah Sharman's statements about the research are as follows;

We found the music regulated sadness and enhanced positive emotions.

When experiencing anger, extreme-music fans liked to listen to music that could match their anger.

The music helped them explore the full gamut of emotion they felt, but also left them feeling more active and inspired.
