Ren - Sick Boi Album | Rising Star Giveaway - Reward 10000 (+5000) Starbits (Ends 22 October UTC)

Ren, whose full name is Ren Erin Gill, has been receiving treatment for about 8 years due to his health problems. Although he continues to receive treatment for his autoimmune disease, he released his Sick Boi Album on October 13th. I would like to point out that many of the songs in the album were released a few months before the album was released.

Ren's Sick Boi album topped the UK charts in its first week, beating the likes of Drake, Rick Astley and Troye Sivan. Speaking to BBC Wales, Ren said "I'm still in Canada receiving treatment, so I haven't done a single show to promote it, I haven't done signings and released it independently." Additionally, Ren told on BBC Radio Wales, "For years and years, I was so sick, I couldn't get out of bed. I kept bouncing around doctors. They'd tell me I was depressed but I knew in my gut it wasn't that, because there was so much physical pain, there was so much neurological problems."

Sick Boi Album tells about Ren's struggle with chronic illnesses. Frankly, I don't listen to Ren much, but I love songs with a story, so I wanted to share his album with you.

I think music is the best way to express our experiences, if you watch the clips above, you can see that Ren shows a very good acting performance in these clips as well as singing. Also, I think artists sing such songs more sincerely. And they can touch people's hearts harder, especially those who have experienced similar things.
