Gothic cathedral in Szczecin

Hello everyone!

The Archcathedral Basilica of Saint James the Apostle is the main Roman Catholic church of Szczecin, located in the Old Town. The first church in this place was built in the 12th century. In the following centuries, it underwent both expansion and renovation after various destructions (fires or war bombings).

Bazylika Archikatedralna świętego Jakuba Apostoła jest to główny kościół rzymskokatolicki Szczecina, który znajduje się na Starym Mieście. Pierwszy kościół w tym miejscu powstał w XII wieku. W kolejnych wiekach przechodził zarówno rozbudowę jak i odnowę po różnych zniszczeniach (po pożarach czy bombardowaniach wojennych).

After the reconstruction of the helmet in 2008, the current height of the church is 110.18 meters. In this respect, it is in second place in Poland. This is a view from Księdza Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński Street.

Po odbudowie hełmu w 2008 roku, obecna wysokość kościoła to 110,18 metrów. Pod tym względem jest na drugim miejscu w Polsce. Jest to widok z ulicy Księdza Kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego.

Due to its size, it stands out from other buildings in the city. In the photo above, I think you can see it well.

Ze względu na swoją wielkość wyróżnia się na tle innych budynków w mieście. Na powyższym zdjęciu myślę, że dobrze to widać.

Architecturally, the temple was built in the Gothic style.

Pod względem architektonicznym świątynia została zbudowana w stylu gotyckim.
