WEEK 204 : What would be Hive without monetary reward for me
I was so ready to go to sleep but then I pushed myself to check the topics in Weekend Experience community and found an interesting topic to write on. In fact it is the question I have asked myself several times and still didn’t get a proper answer. Would you still want to post blogs on Hive if there was no monetary reward at all? Why or why not? Explain.
Just a short recap of my hive life, my account was created by my brother long way back in 2018 but I actually started using it and started blogging in 2022. However, since the beginning of my account, my bro always wanted me to write but I ignored and finally I get into it because he told me to share your lovely trips and pictures with the world, how much you have travelled and captured the moments, lets share it in Hive. He clearly mentioned that not to focus on the rewards or what will you earn because this is the first question everyone asks, how much I will get from it and I did the same but he said, just keep it simple and focus on making a quality content instead of getting demotivated by not having rewards.
My bro successfully get me entered in the Hive world. Honestly speaking, my bro so wonderfully made my mind that I never looked or ran for the rewards. Since the beginning of my Hive journey, I always wanted to share my trips in Pinmapple and Travelfeed but then, other communities attracted me and the topics gives me opportunity to share my experiences and my life journeys. Creative Sundays and LMAC brought my childhood back, I did some drawings and coloring and a bit of photoshop. Basically, I started liking Hive and made my mind to post a blog on daily basis.
Now, back to the main topic, if somehow someday, the monetary reward is vanished and there would be no earning in Hive then what? I don’t know about others but this will definitely hit me hard and will affect my motivational level for Hive. The truth is this reward is the motivation for all of us to make a quality content and blog in Hive. I see many Hivers who work in here so well and have a lot of earning from this platform unlike me but I am always happy for what I get and there are many Hivers who support each other to be lively in Hive. Without rewards, my daily blog will turn into weekly and then monthly but I am sure I will not stop blogging. The reason is this Hive platform has become my life Diary, whatever I do, wherever I go, I share the whole story and pictures in here. What I feel, what I experience, everything is written in here. I always ask my friends and my colleagues to read my blogs and it feels good to hear their feedback which are always satisfactory.
I cannot stop updating my Diary so this is the reason why I will not stop blogging even if the reward system will be taken away. What I like the most about it is when I search Fawad Ansari blog in Google, my hive account is on top of the search which is not a common thing. I do think about my future, when my kids will be grown up, I don’t have to tell them my stories, it will be all written in the blogs and they can read my whole life from it. Nothing will be hidden good or bad, everything is right here to be read. I have a lot to share of my past trips along with my recent life stories so, Hive blogging will never stop.
This is just everything i said. Theres no way I'm walking away from the one thing that keeps me consistent with still having a good pen-game. Hive is just that platform.
thats a coincidence but majority of us think the same way for Hive
Although there are many people who live 100% from the hive, I do it because I love it and no one can deny that the rewards are a great reason, for many people to post a couple of times a day it feels nice to be rewarded. God willing it will last for many years, even when I am gone, so that my children can read the crazy things their mother wrote.
yes, we have to accept the fact that reward is the main reason of blogging in Hive but then, we get use to it, we learnt a lot in here, we get the opportunity to polish ourselves and make good quality contents and if in case, reward system is taken away, this will surely affect our focus but majority will not stop blogging in Hive

Surely, Hive is simply like a diary, i think i buy that point too. There's always that feeling that comes with wanting to tell everyone about how your day went by through writing.

I love your point. The reward system is what makes everyone of us keep writing on Hive and feeling motivated but when the reward is taken away, it makes us feel demotivated and unwilling to continue but when we go the second thought of making Hive like our diary where we can post fun things, share life's experiences, it will serve as memories for us where we can always turn back to while showing it to our kids in the future.
