Oh this is marvelous feedback. Some one who lives below the grabber’s radar:) Thank you clareartista for the encouragement: “My only stable income is around 130 Euros per month, though I am gifted a great deal more privately, in kind, and through barter and mutually-beneficial gifting and giving-taking within my community.”
Lifestyle change would be much easier for me if the community was on board. The most difficult part of frugality is sharing its creativity among friends and family enough to inspire their own awakenings. Aloneness has always been easy for me, but now it feels like a doubling down in order to prove something. An unnecessary weight. Class structures here are very set. Deviations not so much frowned upon as ignored. It’s like “go ahead, prove your point, but we don’t care. You walk, we drive.” And so I walk. A lot!
