Okay ... So, having committed to resume posting on Hive, in support of this inspirational community, how am I doing so far? Well ... Let's see if I can get past Week 1 to Week 2 and get an instant 2X on the number of posts I have written for it ...

See what I did there? If no idea, then quite likely you are new to crypto investing ... 😉

Onward and upward! Into my weekly update ...

Weekly Update

To get a rhythm going, I have already made my first decision. I need a set time each week when I am ... "alerted" ... that I need to have this posted. And the best time, at the moment, is early on any given Saturday morning. If I cannot get it done on Friday ...

One problem. What's that?

Well ... The payout from my first post last week hasn't hit yet! And that was the basis for my first pass at setting some financial objectives!? 🤔🤷‍♂️

________________________

Thankfully, since then to ... "clear the deck" ... I added to my investment in EDSD, since I had some "spare" HBD to get out of the way of incoming payouts ...

So ... Here is my update for Week 1:

Source: roleerob's spreadsheet for tracking progress

Pretty simple, to start. I had 200 EDSD and I would like to end this year with twice that. At least ...

Weekly Focus

As I do most of my investing outside the Hive blockchain, I am far from an expert on our investing options with its L2 tokens in Hive Engine.

I started this week, in general, to work on a "continuous improvement" process of changing that. I am in no hurry. "Steady as she goes" ...

A focus this week, in particular, was saving money on all the fees associated with getting $$s outside our Hive blockchain into Hive Engine.

Here is one "backdoor" I found:

Source: Deposit via Polygon (MATIC) into TribalDex's wallet

No fees whatsoever! Other than the gas fees, for the transfer, on Polygon. Anyone with any experience with that blockchain knows that is "peanuts" ...

Source: roleerob's transfer transaction on PolygonScan.

~$100 moved into Hive Engine for essentially nothing! 👍

Weekly Tip

To save money, you have to ... Wait for it ... SAVE MONEY!

Fees are "costs of doing business."
Which eat away at your ROI.
Do what you can to reduce / eliminate them!

In the "Wild West" environment of crypto, it is easy to miss fees altogether, in the sometimes mind numbing details of blockchain transactions. Make a concerted effort to steadily improve your understanding of these fees. Then, do what you can to keep them to the bare minimum.

Hope that helps! 🫡

Well, that didn't hurt too much. So ... Maybe I can do it again about this time week. And get a trend going! 😉

I’d love to hear any feedback you may be inspired to provide. Or, if I can help you with anything, please don't hesitate to ask.

Until "next time," all the best to you for a better tomorrow, as we all work together to build up our Hive Communities and add increasing value to our Hive blockchain! 👍 😊

Respectfully,

Hey @roleerob, if you want your content to earn $leo tokens publish them from InLeo!

Publishing from InLeo also makes you eligible for Ad Revenue and Evergreen rewards after the 7 day payout window on Hive, give it a try!

Right now there is a challenge where you can win an InLeo Premium membership for a month!

All you have to do is make long form post using InLeo before January 31st.

Thanks for creating content on the LeoFinance community!

Yes, I tried that, before posting my first entry into Saturday Savers Club. Too problematic, so I posted from PeakD ...

"Thanks for creating content on the LeoFinance community!"

Sure. Happy to do it.

What kind of issues did you experience man? The interface is almost bug free, so any feedback you provide to us will help us get better.

Good to hear from you!

As I am not up on the latest with InLeo, would it be accurate to say its UI has been optimized for use on smartphones? If not, how would you characterize it?

Based on your answer, I will give you your requested feedback. For now, I need to leave shortly for an appt ... 👋

Been a while man!

The mobile optimization is going well, but we are still getting a few users who are experiencing issues but we don't get enough feedback to know what is happening. Right now I'd say that 90% of mobile users are satisfied, but we still have some work to do fren.

Have a good day, if you find some time to try and post and if you encounter feedback to provide it, I'd appreciate it very much amigo

"The mobile optimization is going well ..."

For me, the issue was how it worked on my workstation. I would never even think about attempting to write my posts from a smartphone. I suspect that may be a part of the problem, but ...

I honestly do not recall exactly what I ran up against, that led to me turning away from it. Brought back some old memories, though ...

"... if you find some time to try and post and if you encounter feedback to provide it ...'

I know there are good intentions behind your request for more detail. With my next post for LeoFinance, I will try InLeo's UI again and report back on what I experience. 👋

Sounds good! Remember that every single post published from inLeo now earns $leo, no matter the topic or the community you post it to, so you don't really need to wait until you post something to 'leofinance', you can just try it any day/topic.

🌄 Good morning (here)!☕

As requested, find below what you are seeking, as to why I closed InLeo down and went back to PeakD, for publishing my financial posts.

While I haven't published it yet, what follows is my effort to respond, as there is no need to wait, once I thought about it (upon reading your comment and after my 1st cup of coffee ... 😉).

PeakD Publishing Window

InLeo Publishing Window

First, let me point out that my workstation has two identical monitors. Second, let me point out my posts contain a lot of HTML, as I do not find MarkDown able to meet my objectives ...

So, the first thing we see is how the identical code displays in both UIs. They do not fit the screen space the same (not the end of the world, but I am very detail oriented, as a retired Business Systems Analyst).

What I have highlighted:

  1. The biggest difference to the eye. InLeo can't handle this method of highlighting content.

  2. InLeo doesn't handle this the same either, as this is not a line across the screen in HTML

  3. Note the difference in "white space," when using HTML code for superscript

  4. InLeo's display of hyperlinks is not in the universally known (reserved?) color associated with showing them. Subjective, agreed, but I do not find this color to be as appealing ...

That is enough. Seems like there were other items I noticed, when I first tried it out, but ... Not sure TBH ... This gives you the general idea.

P.S. Thank you for pointing out to me that today, InLeo can be used to publish any content. As for "earning LEO" for every post, you'd have to explain that to me some more, as I don't know what that means.

Hello @roleerob. Did you notice the 5% beneficiary fee suggested for the privilege of publishing in InLeo? If one upgrades and pays the 10HBD/mo, I wonder if the 5% fee will still be required?

As for "earning LEO" for every post, I also wonder if this is the "support" of one's content touted when publishing quality content in InLeo?

I also had issues with the HTML code when it came to the uploading of images. I have a Footer template. Copied it over to InLeo draft, and viola, a royal SNAFU.

The time it took me to REDO the placement of my side-by-side images into a table instead of the "pull-left/right" HTML code in the end was a royal SNAFU.

Take care.
