Hello everyone, welcome back to Ramadhanight's Hive Blog on Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge's Session. For this week Battle Challenge, i want to share about my battle that i tried to combined 2 bloodlust plus a martyr ability to get a powerfull duo. Let's see how it goes !

~Lore of The Venari Marksrat~

Before we start taking about the battle, let's talk about the monster first. For those who loves a story, i bring you the lore of the Venari Marksrat.

Venari marksrats spend more time in the forests than they do underground. Most of it is taken with hunting and foraging, with marksrats being the main food gatherers for the venari colonies that inhabit the upperdark caverns of the Realm of Silence. They are incredibly agile and have honed their hunting skills to perfection.

Their crude bows are fashioned out of branches and saplings. Don't be fooled by their unrefined look, though. These skilled archers can still hit a fleeing rabbit at a hundred yards with precision. They hunt alone or in packs, and if you ever manage to spot one, you can guarantee they saw you first and have been watching you for some time.

General Information About Venari Marksrat

Now that we knew about the lore of this monster, let's have a look at his stats and ability. The information about this monster's stats and ability is shown below

This rare neutral element monster is a great addition on your team because he got the brand new ability that just introduced on the last reward cards update, it's the martyr ability ! He got that ability since first level, as well 1 range attack, 1 speed, and 2 health. For me, his stats is nothing problem since his martyr ability would only appeared when he dies. At 5th level, he got snare ability so stop monsters from flying. At max level, he got the shatter ability to strip all armor within just an attack to one monster. His range attack only becomes 2 if you powered him up to level 7th. His max health is just 4 that he got since 4th level. I don't think health addition will bring benefit if we want the martyr 😅

Before we discuss about the formation, here is the rules for this match
Super sneak : All melee attack monsters are having sneak ability !
42 mana cap: Medium high mana cap, suitable for trying to combine the marksrat with 2 Chimney and Grum !
Splinter available : All splinters except the life are available.

Tankerimage.pngBloodlust, Void Armor1st monsters that having bloodlust ability. Put him on 1st to anticipate if eemies trying to spam magic, because grum is having void armor. Suitable with marksrat to makes him even powerfull with bloodlust ability
2nd Monsterimage.pngMartyrMy monster of the week, shoul've put him here because grum is on 1st position. Use him because i've saw enemies loves to use Lira that having opportunity on his history.
3rd Monsterimage.pngReach, BloodlustMy 2nd bloodlust is on Chimney. Together with grum, i expect chimney to get early buff by marksrat martyr so he would get stronger and easier for trigger the bloodlust.
4th Monsterimage.pngShatterThis 1 mana monster is pretty usefull with the shatter ability to break all armor at once and giving damage as well from behind.
5th Monsterimage.pngdemoralizeNever missed this monster if melee monsters are able to attack from any position. His -1 melee attack debuff is great to makes enemies with melee attack less dangerous.
6th Monsterimage.pngShieldAnother must use monster on ruleset that allows melee attack monster to attack from any position. Combined with disintegrator, he could nerf all melee damage into 0 !

I would also talk a little about my enemies lane up, but won't too detailed as my lane up, just my point of view in general about his lane up.

Let's see my enemy's line up. Taunt up front, combined with some hitter and cursed windeku on the back. I think that his taunt is to covers the range monster and the arachne which is pretty good, and windeku on the back is great to giving the thorn to melee monsters that would likely to show up on this ruleset. I think it's a decent formation because he could get stronger melee monster to put and there is no disintegrator to help the windeku to survive longer. What do you think ? Does My Strategy is Worked ? :

On 1t round, both summoners and monsters are giving their buff and debuff. -2 armor and -1 melee damage for my enemies, while my team getting -1 health and -1 magic attack. My radiated scorch is getting eliminated by enemies Lira, while my enemies still having full squad on his side. Antoid Platoon with Disintegrtor worked really well to stand against enemies sneak as he only took 1 damage from arachne and able to nerf damage from pelacor and windeku into 0. It's 5-6 condition for my team in the end of 1st round.

On 2nd round, the marsrat is eliminated by enemies Lira ad this cause grum and chimney given martyr and stats improvement that help chimney to eliminte the night ghoul. Bloodlust is triggered ! It's 4-5 condition for my team in the end of 2nd round !

On 3rd round, Chimey once again got his bloodlust triggered after eliminating windeku which saw Chimney's attack into 8, 5 Speed, 4 armor, and 11 health ! Grum finally got his 1st bloodlust as well after eliminating the arachne. It's 4-3 condition now for my team, time for revenge !

On 4th round, my antoid platoon finally eliminated by enemy's Lira, but soon got the Chimney eliminated Lira and trigger another bloodlust ! 9 damage, 6 seed, 5 armor, and 12 health now for Chimney ! It's 3-2 condition for my team now.

On 5th round, Chimney eliminating another monster to give him the 4th Bloodlust ! Now Chimney is having 10 damage, 7 speed, 6 armor, and 13 health ! The Pelacor Deceiver is then eliminated on 6h round after taking damage from Grum and Disintegrator.What a nice victory !

Discuss About Venari Marksrat :

What I Like About Venari Marksrat:

For 3 mana use, his martyr ability is very great addition to the team, because it could bring +1 damage, +1 armor, +1 speed, and +1 health to friendly monsters. And those addition could be a game changer because +1 damage could eliminated enemies before they are able to attack, or beat the monster with heal so your damage could go over the heal. +1 armor makes your monster having 1 extra turn,1 speed could give your monster early attack turn and evade enemies attack, as well giving hit accuracy against high speed monster, and 1 health could help your team survive longer to stand against the damage or increase the heal ! What a usefull things that martyr bring to the team, right ?
What I Don't Like About Venari Marksrat:
What i don't like about him is that it's a bit tricky to get him eliminated earlier. If you want to buff 1st monsters, you need to make sure enemies having snipe, blast, or opportunity, or sneak if you only bring 2 monster, or you need to wait poison, earthquake, and backfire rules to get the marksrat eliminated in time.
When to Use Venari Marksrat:
Poison, Opportunity, Snipe, Blast, and Earthquake is the easiest rules to get him bring his martyr. Opponent that loves opportunity or snipe could offer great chance to get the martyr on early round as well.
When to avoid Venari Marksrat:
Equal health ruleset will get you hard to trigger this monster's martyr so i don't recommend you to use him on that ruleset. Ultra high mana cap is not a suitable as well since you could get mega monster with great skill and ability to fill your formation.
What would i do next ?
I would like to use this monster on another situation like poison and earthquake rule set so i could get instant martyr effect !

Conclussion

Venari Marksrat is offering great martyr ability that allows the monsters beside him getting stats improvement that could change the game into yours. Snipe, opportunity, poison, and earthquake is suitable rules for him to give early martyr. Don't fear him to die early because that's where his utility is the most !
