Here come another week of Weekly Battle Challenge! And the topic for this week is PELACOR ARBALEST. PELACOR ARBALEST is one of my favorite card in chaos pack release, due to his devastating attack while combo with General Sloan. No further ado, let's get started!

LINEUP

SUMMONER
General Sloan_lv3.png

General Sloan

My main strategy for current match are using Pelacor Arbalest and Prismologist as main damage dealer, so I have chosen General Sloan which able to enhance physical range attack.
MONSTER
Chaos Knight_lv1.png

1st Position - Chaos Knight

Card come with SHIELD ability are always great to serve as a tanker as they could halve all the incoming physical damage. The issue of Chaos Knight is she did not come with good HP as a tanker, but the EQUALIZER ruleset had solved this problem.
Pelacor Conjurer_lv4.png

2nd Position - Pelacor Conjurer

Choosing Pelacor Conjurer as my secondary tanker incase Chaos Knight has fallen, FLYING ability and speed of 4 is great in dodging physical attack, and MAGIC REFLECT is good against counter magical damage.
Divine Healer_lv3.png

3rd Position - Divine Healer

Provide HEAL ability to allowed the tanker to survive as long as possible while dealing some damage from the back lane. Placing her over here instead of other range attacker if incase both of the tanker has fallen, she would still be able to deal damage in tanker position. (Physical range cant attack at first position)
Venari Crystalsmith_lv2_gold.png

4th Position - Venari Crystalsmith

Another healer to keep the tanker survive longer, provide fire power from the back lane while also benefiting from the summoner ability which boosting her attack.
Pelacor Arbalest_lv2_gold.png

5th Position - Pelacor Arbalest

Protagonist of the week! Pelacor Arbalest come with devastating attack due to his DOUBLE STRIKE ability, but he has a very critical weakness, which is extremely low HP. But with the rule set of EQUALIZER, this weakness has been undone. And with the presence of General Sloan which boosting his attack, it's turning this card into perfect state!
Prismologist_lv1.png

Last Position - Prismologist

Another card to take the advantage from General Sloan attack boosting, with BLAST ability which dealing damage to target adjacent monster. And come with little armor, which allowing her to tank better if enemy make use of any card with SNEAK ability.

BATTLE REPLAY

EPILOGUE

Did your strategy work?
What will you try differently next time?

Yes, my strategy did work very well in this battle. Tanker were well protected with 2 healer as planned and successfully survived to the end of the battle. Pelacor Arbalest and Prismologist benefited from the ability of General Sloan were able to deal massive damage in short time and taken out opponent real quick.

I'm satisfied with the line up and outcome, so I would still have the lineup next time if the same battle condition occurred again. The only changes I might do would be Pelacor Conjurer in 2nd position, as we can see in the battle Pelacor Conjurer did not contribute much the entire battle, perhaps I should swap it with some other monster which able to provide damage next time.

Do you like PELACOR ARBALEST?
Why or why not?

Yes I love PELACOR ARBALEST very much, especially when he's playing along with General Sloan, which turning him into a beast due to his original decent attack and double strike ability. But the only problem is he has very low health, which would be very vulnerable to opportunity ability from opponent. But playing him right would help to win the battle easily, for example playing under equalizer rule as shown in the battle.

Pelacor Arbalest is indeed a powerful monster and when used strategically right, can last until the last round. 😊
