Splinterlnd's: Here are the reasons for me to still play Splinterlands.

For the past few days, I saw a lot of posts in which players were talking about quitting the Splinterlands as they are not finding the game to be fun, full of bots that make winning very difficult and of course rewards dollar value is too low because in current rewards only SPS has the tangible/marketable nd transferrable value as others rewards like MERITS, Potions and Soulbound cards were attached to account and cannot be transferred to other or sold in the market.

Frankly speaking, the team has also now decided to resolve these complaints as they said in one of the recent townhall that they are not going to bring any major release /"new component" in the game. Instead, they will give priority to implementing the changes that enrich the user experience and will work on priority to complete all of the promised changes and features and land implementation is also one of them.

Those who have complaints about the bots, it will be also resolved as Modern will not have bots. As far as rewards are concerned, the current value of Below Chest is just over 10 cents.

But if you look closely at this chest it has 2 Gold Foil Legendary and 4 rare Dragon Summoners and once these cards are not soulbond, these will definitely go for a nice price in the market. In one of the previous seasons (Last to last season), I got more than 2000 SPS in the season loot chests, which I promptly staked to increase my GLX airdrop as well as to generate more SPS by staking SPS.

Today these are not best but tomorrow they will be.

If you understand the game tokenomics, the rewards pool of SPS with each season will keep reducing and so in the future, we will be earning less SPS. If as expected, SPS flywheel took off then it attract more players to come and earn SPS. With a reduced SPS pool and more players in the pool, the amount of SPS that will be earned will become much less though the Dollar value earned by players will be good which might make them hooked to the game. On that day when you might look back at these rewards then you might exclaim that "Those were the really good rewards" and "I wished I did not stopped playing"

Bots are a constant problem in any avenue that concerns every road to finances. Everybody wants to get rich without putting in the work.

Future Blockchain games will have to take note of what happens to successful Blockchain games if they wish to succeed.
It is difficult to maintain players or to continue playing when previously it took an amount of effort and churned out vast rewards and now for that same effort amount the machine is spitting out fragments of a reward. This problem will have to be a mindset that future games on the Blockchain will have to deal with early in their lifespan to survive.

It'll be interesting to see how Splinterlands gets past this hurdle. I hope you continue seeing success in playing!

Splinterland was never anti bot , my be team was thinking that having bots in game will allow matches to be found quickly in ranked matches.

But once they understood bot farming effect they tried collection power, soull bound cards to deter them but never thought to ban them.

Let see how it goes.

I know that feeling! Landed a single gold foil Drybone Raider legendary a while ago, and got a few standard foil ones too, and all from Silver League chests. Like you, I am looking forward to soulbound cards being released for sale so I can find out what these ones are really worth!

I am just wishing that SL is not over printing them. But still DEC value is the value that we can always look at.

I don't care about dollars won. It'd be fun to just win a battle now and then! But after getting the Spellbook so I can play Bronze III, all I do is lose, lose and lose again, despite having won some nice cards in giveaways. Apparently $10 wasn't enough, now I need to spend another $50 or so on lvl 2 summoners to get anywhere at all. And if I did that, I bet I'd need another $100 to level up my monster cards...

Botting? I'm not a fan of the idea, but I've thought about it. Until I realised it'd be a waste of time and money since I don't have the basic deck - I'd spend more on renting cards than I'd ever be able to win.

So, what's my suggestion for making the game easier to join for noobs? Don't allow leveled up summoners in Bronze III. Don't penalize people in Bronze III for using the "free" cards. The huge difference between Novice and Bronze III turns people away!

With so many cards and some are very specialized for particular ruleset, I do not see that misery will end instead this is going to increase more.
