Splinterlands: "Going the Distance"

This week's Battle Mage Secret ruleset is "Going the Distance".In this ruleset, only units with ranged attacks may be used.
Since all the units will be ranged attacks, then it will be nice to have as many monsters that have "Close range" in the team. It will be nice to have "headwinds" monsters in the team that will reduce the range attack of the enemy monsters. Having Return Fire abilities of the monsters is also good.

As for the Summoner, if we are looking for enhancing our range attack the Selenia Sky and General Sloan are good choices.
If we are going for the opposite and want to reduce enemy range attack then we can go for the summoner Quix the Devious and Contessa Lament.

Lir DeepSwimmer gives 2 armor and "return fire abilities" to all friendly monsters, and is the killer summoner for this ruleset.

My team Formation.

I decided to go for the "Quix the Devious" as the summoner. using Quix helps me to reduce enemy team range attack as well as their swiftness.

I put Vernari Marksrat in the first position as I like to get benefited from its martyr abilities.

Lava Launcher's close-range ability as well as stun ability looks like one of the smartest abilities to have and I also have a plan to get elevated stats once Vernari Marksrat gets martyred.

Gargoya Devil is again a closed-range monster and makes it into the team.

Zyvax Vull, having recharge and close range was put next.

Supply Runner and Countess Sinash both give +1 swiftness and this makes it ultra difficult for any monster to attack my tank Lava Launcher.

Let's move to the battle.

This look like equal footing from the Summoner level as General Sloan positive effect for the range is neutralized by the "Quix the Devious" and -1 is extra swiftness reduction for the enemy monsters.
Above screenshot represent the team with all summoner and monsters abilities in effect.

As I have planned Lava launcher reached position 1 and its swiftness did caused the enemy monster to miss it.

Lava Launcher really proved a good tank with strong swifness and it is still able to kick the enemy monsters.

Lava Launcher still standing strong and I am happy that my team formation really clicked to win the battle.
