I never thought I could fall deeply in love with someone, don't get me wrong before knowing all the facts about what I am going to share with you all today, back in high school, I happen to be more of girls friends than guys friends, I had many female friends in high school and their intelligence and brilliance was what made me befriended them back then...

I had guys who were brilliant and intelligent too but the fact was that we had more intelligent and brilliant girls than boys and for me to not be overtaken by them, I had to make friends with them to know their weaknesses...

Along the way I had feelings for some of them lol but I couldn't act on them because they are one of the main source of distraction back in highschool, I had to bottle up my feelings for them until I eventually graduated high school...

I felt like having a girlfriend in highschool will bring me down academically and that was why I postponed everything till after highschool and it happened that way...

One of my weakness in love is that; I tend to crush on any girl who does something extra ordinary for me, when I say extra ordinary, I meant doing something other girls have never thought of doing for me and whenever it happens, I just have a soft spot for them at that moment and probably after weeks it will dissappear but the fact is that if such happens, I make sure I always return the favor because I love doing so...

I happen to keep myself away from relationship throughout high school and I graduated high school only to find love during my WAEC lesson lolz, I didn't act on it during those times because I never knew luck was going to be on my side...

I kept my feelings hidden and concentrated on studies and guess what??
We were actually posted to the same school to write our SSCE, it was at this moment I decided to shoot my shot and that started happening slowly...

We finished examination and I decided to take it to the next level by adding her on FB and we became more closer lol...

The funniest part was that, the girl was feisty, fun, active, sharp and brilliant but guess what I fell for???
I fell deeply for her feisty nature but there was a problem back then...

Thanks to her excessive love for novels, she got this weird mindset that guys are cheaters and that made her to not think of falling in love, all this lasted until she met me and knew me and I made her fall...

We finished our SSCE on the 12 of September, 2020 and after that day I decided to plan my move to make her fall for me because back then she only saw me as a friend and I changed her completely from the no love girl into a lover girl lol ...

She was my first girlfriend and I was her first boyfriend so that makes us each others first...

Enough of how my love life started and let me fast forward it to when she actually said yes to me...

  SHE SAID YES ON THE FIRST OF 
        JANUARY 2021...

After getting to know her very well, I started visiting her shop, chatting her up and also asking after her welfare, it was so strange to her because most guys doesn't do that to her because of her nature...

I didn't care about her outward appearance but I fell for the content of her character which I realised long ago, she was someone who would sacrifice her last penny for others and that made her special in so many ways...

It a started off as normal friendship on Facebook but later on she tried to friend zone which I was never going to allow because I wanted her, I made her understand that I don't want to be friend zoned by her and she understood my point...

Time was going very fast lol, we have been classmates since JSS2 but back then i wasn't into her and we didn't even noticed each other until we ended up in the same department lol...

I talked to her about different things in two months, I asked her lot's of questions why she never gave guys a chance and she made me understand better, I tried so much to change her perspective about guys because not all guys are jerks lol...

I kept on making her understand and slowly she started understanding it better till the extent that I was using some certain words she never liked for her, words like dear, babe, love to see if her reaction will be different...

I realised she didn't react to those words unlike before, if you had used those words on her in the past, she will break your skull lol...

I continued to be her friend and one day I told my friend about how I felt about her and he told me to ask her out afterall we were already close...

I told him I am scared of her reaction and I don't want to ruin what we have and he said a man only die once that I should try and if she rejects me I should try else where...

I decided to shoot my shot that night but I delayed until December 5 Lol 🤣...

I eventually chatted her up and I was beating around the bush and I eventually told her with all the veins in my head and she asked me this question??
Why do you want me as your GF???
This gave me a green light and I answered her and then she told me to come tell her face to face..

I went to her house around 9:30 pm that night and with great difficulty I told her and she told me she will think about it...

I literally had to tell her to not keep me waiting and I hope she says Yes...

A week later I didn't see her neither did I hear from her, I tried to find her and later on I got know she traveled and she was going to be back on the 29th of December 2020, two day to a new year...

I left her messages but she couldn't get them because she went to the village and it was at this moment I wished she comes back soon...

Lo and behold she came back that day but I couldn't meet her because I was having youth camp in church to prepare for the first sunday...

I was in church until 30th and I chatted her up and she told me she is back and that she is waiting for me and I asked her if it was for something good, she said she doesn't know and I became scared lol...

In summary, on the 31st I went to see her and she told me to wait till night which was new year eye, I was getting anxious and she knows...

I had to leave home early for crossover that night and I missed her and immediately I got to church, I left her a message and she came online around 11:30 pm and because she was a Muslim, she was actively chatting me up but I was replying slowly...

At around 11:59 pm, she just typed it in capital letter YES, at first I thought was is yes in our chat now and I suddenly remembered what I asked her and I literally confirmed from her again...

She said yes again and i told her to tell me when we see face to face on the first day of 2021...

In conclusion, we left church around 12:30 am on the first day of the year and I went directly to her place with my friend and guess what she said YES again and I was literally speechless and I wished her happy new year and ran home without waiting for my friend to blow the knockout my dad bought...

Her reply that day made my new year celebration worth more, I was literally all over the place that day with happiness and joy because she made 01/01/2021 one of the most happiest day of my life....
