Curiosity has never ended well for me since my childhood, if not all the time, it has never ended with a positive outcome in most cases and that is why it is good to let sleeping dogs lie because if you don't let them lie, their anger upon being woken up is not going to end well…

I have never been obedient to the saying “let sleeping dogs lie” but after my bitter experience out of my curiosity, that saying has been kept in my left hand, I don’t think I will ever forget what I went through those years because of my curiosity…

As my mum do say to my siblings back then; Must you know everything?, my case was and has been different all along, it is when you tell me not to do I always end up doing it just because I want to find out the reason why you asked me not to go there…

This attitude of mine led me to serious trouble and punishment in the past, I still remember clearly what my curiosity got me the last time hehe, it wasn’t something fun, to be honest…

Dang, thinking about what I have gone through all because of my curiosity just made me smile right now, this is not the smile of joy or happiness oh, it is the smile of ” Fox you have seen shege and shege pro max all because of your false detective skills 😂”…

Without wasting too much time on what my curiosity has delivered to me on a platter of gold in the past, join me as I will be sharing my most recent curiosity killed the cat experience with you all, I plead with you not to laugh in excess while reading this post because it's kindda crazy and dumb lol…

    MY CURIOSITY GOT ME IN SERIOUS TROUBLE.

This is one of the craziest things I have ever done in my entire life hehe, this event happened over 7 years ago lol, it happened when I was still in my junior secondary year...

I was in junior secondary class 1 that year, and my curiosity about how my mum always managed to get me money to get some basic things I needed for school got me in trouble, I got in trouble and also got punished for it...

My mum was a full housewife in the past, she was a hairdresser, and back then she worked at home most of the time, if i clearly remember, she spent most of the earnings from her work on supporting what we had in the house...

This means she mostly doesn't have much to give us in terms of getting us school necessities, we had our dad to go to for our school needs which included our feeding allowances but anything about cooking and stuff, we had our mum to go to...

It got to a point where my dad decided to stop giving us feeding allowances any more, his conclusion on this was for us to make sure we eat before going to school and also pack up some for our break in school...

Things started going that way, sooner than later he stopped attending to our school needs, things like books and allowances, he never joked with our school fees and textbooks but others were cut out by him...

As we approached the third term, I had so many needs in school, my school notebooks were almost occupied, I needed a calculator and a bigger dictionary, and I had no time to eat at home again, my needs were increasing and money was what i needed back then...

I chose not to go to my dad again and started demanding these needs of mine from my mum instead, the first shocker was a pack of 60 leaves notebook and a half pack of higher education, she got this for me even when I knew she didn't have a higher paying job at that time hehe...

The following week I went to tell her about the mathematical set and the calculator we were asked to bring, the following week she got me both as I requested, haha this was looking like magic, I didn't know how she was able to raise that amount of money as she had a job paying close to nothing...

My curiosity was getting multiplied daily, if i had known what my curiosity would cost me, I would have never investigated where all those came from and just kept on taking them as they came, I was very curious to know how she has been doing it lol...

The one that landed me in trouble was the last, I asked her for the fee for my weekly assessment and she said she would give it to me in two days, from that day to the next two days, I was investigating my mum like a detective lol...

On that day she promised to give me the money, I found out about everything and my curiosity was satisfied as I later found out all the money I had been demanding from my mum had actually been coming from my father's pocket...

I watched my mum as she removed part of the money I needed from my dad's pocket and added her's to it to make it complete, I should have given up at that point but the God that wanted my dad to catch me redhanded made me go to his pocket to see how much he had left in there after my mum left the scene lol...

I dipped my hand into his pocket and while trying to bring the money out, my dad walked in on me, and guess what? my hand was still in his pocket as he walked in on me, his trousers were hung up and my hand was in his left pocket...

He caught me and called my mum to come see what I was doing, it was at this moment all hell broke loose lol, my mum had to come clean that she was the one that took some money from his pocket and she didn't know what i was doing there, my father was less concerned about my mother's case as she is his wife...

He asked me what led me to his pocket and I revealed all from A-Z, my life never remained the same after that day because I saw pepper...

In summary, my curiosity made my first attempt at something seems to be something I had always been doing before then, my dad reported me to my siblings, concluded not to give me a feeding allowance for a month and he further added that; if he is my father, let him find out i beg from any of my classmates, this was what i got from my father...

My mum added hers to it, I swept the whole house and washed the plates before preparing for school for good two weeks, and she reduced my feeding allowance( since my dad stopped giving me), she made sure I was eating and was also working for every food i eat in that house for two good weeks lol...

In conclusion, omo my curiosity has only ever gotten me into serious trouble and punishment, since that day I learnt not to be overtaken and overshadowed by my curiosity, I made up my mind to always let sleeping dogs lie to avoid unwanted troubles, my last curiosity experience taught me a great lesson i will never forget...
