DIY/Birthday frame
Sending gifts to people makes just not the receiver happy, it makes me feel happy knowing that I just put a smile on someone's face. The moment we send gifts, it means we care about them. I love children and that's why I learned how to make some crafts, it fascinates them and the smile on their faces when they get gifts is always priceless.
Someone once told me that I am too childish, she said everything about me is too childish because she saw some craft I did for my sister's children on my phone. I love being childish and as long as being in that state makes me happy, I want to remain a child forever.
Enough of all the talk let's get into the business. Today, one of my neighbor's daughter is celebrating her birthday. I wasn't aware until this morning when I heard the mother singing birthday songs for her, and this is a girl that I love so much so I tried making something beautiful for her.
I made a small frame for her and when I return from work tonight I will get her a gift as well along with the frame, this frame was just to show her that I love her as my playful friend.
The materials are:
Cardboard (pink and white)
Scissors
Brown gum
Pen
Brown paper
Watercolor
Cloth stone
Procedure
Step 1
I cut the white cardboard in a rectangle shape, I also cut the brown paper in the same shape and wrapped the white cardboard around the brown paper. I applied gum to make the two cards stick together.
Step 2
I made use of a pen to draw an envelope shape on the brown paper and then cut it out with scissors. After that, I made use of gum to glue it at the tip of the white cardboard.
Step 3
I made use of a pen to draw love shapes from both cardboard and brown paper. I made use of watercolor to paint some of it because I wanted different colors.
I also cut some small love shapes and a flower shape then painted them as well, and then set them aside to dry.
Step 4
Now they are dry, I made use of the brown gum to glue the love shapes one by one at the opening of the envelope to form a step. I also glued the flower and other small love shapes as well.
I then noticed that the design was not that beautiful so I made use of my old dress stone to beautify it more, I put some stones beside the envelope where a picture can stay.
Then I cut a small band to make the hook at the back that will hold it on the wall.
My neighbor's daughter will love the frame so much when I give it to her with the other gift. Giving someone a gift doesn't mean you have to break the bank, you can give them what you create by yourself and it might turn out to be a priceless gift to them.

This is really thoughtful of you, the kid would be delighted with her gift.
Never mind the naysayers. Like you said, do what makes you happy.
Cheers.
I don't even mind being a friend of children as long as am happy with them, she loved the frame and her mother too thanked me for it
