Creative-Sunday; 24-hours lips balm

Hello everyone welcome to HL Creative-Sunday and happy Sunday to you all.

As I said in my previous Creative-Sunday post, I will be showing more of the things we can do at home if we don't want to purchase it. As you all know I am a beautician and everything that has to do with making people look beautiful is what I do today, I will be showing you guys how to make long-lasting lips balm.

Some people prefer to buy it but this is the process of making it in case you want to do it yourself.

Some people call it pink lips balm, but I call it 24-hour balm because I didn't make use of pink color. I chose this particular color because I don't like pink it is too common. More so, I love the red color and that is the main reason why I chose it for this balm.

The purpose of this balm is to make your lips colorful and makes it moisturized, it never gets dry or white on your lips. I have tested it and I can assure you it is perfect.

Ingredients used are:

Shea butter
Vaseline
Food color (any color of your choice)
Virgin oil
Empty container

Procedure:

As you can see the material is not much but I am sure you will like the outcome by the time I am done with them.

So let's get to work and see what this combination of ingredients can produce.

Step 1

I rinse a stainless steel pan and put it on the burner.

Step 2

I measured half a tablespoon of Vaseline and allowed it to melt in the stainless pan. I poured a small quantity of virgin oil and Shea butter into the melted Vaseline.

I allowed them to melt together while I used the spoon to stir it. You can use any type of oil and the purpose of the oil is to make your lips soft and moisturized.

Step 3

I added my food color to the melted Vaseline and Shea butter and then mixed it thoroughly because I wanted the color to influence the Vaseline.

Step 4

I put the mixture down and allowed it to get cool, I made use of a plastic spoon to mix it together, and boom my 24-hour lips balm is ready.

Step 5

I made use of the plastic spoon to pour the lips balm into the empty container, now I can use it whenever I am going out.

This balm will make my lips not just moisturized but also beautiful as well. You can use any color of your choice but I use red because I love the color.

Very creative indeed. I am sure the moisturising effort will be apparent based on the ingredient used. Thanks for sharing.

This looks very easy and I will give it a try because I have all of these things at home and it is better than going out to buy them

It is abously a creative idea and DIY. I wanted to try it but my friend told me Vaseline turns our lips black if we apply it on day time in sunlight. Is it true?

Impresive work. That would help with lips dryness. Nice
