Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Buying my first item from the reward shop

Hello everybody in the hive community and to all gamers of hive. This is my entry to the splinterlands social media challenge for this week.

Last week in my entry to the splinterlands social media challenge, I talked about some new changes that were added to the game. Some of these are the new glint token that replaces the daily and season chests. Another is the reward shop that will allow players to spend their glint token. This week I want to highlight more on the reward shop and show you some purchases I made.

First of all, to access the reward shop, find shop at the top left of the page (the second icon) and click on it.

Next, click on rewards from the opened page. The reward shop launches where you can see all the items you can purchase.

In this reward shop, you can see it is called the Gwen's Glint Shop. You can also see that your potions and glint balances are exhibited below the Gwen's Glint Shop. You can also see the items that can be bought. Of these items, you can see the one you are allowed to purchase based on your balance.

Sadly, at the time buying, I had only 177 glint tokens. Because of that I could only buy 4 items which are; Initiate draw 1, energy, alchemy potion and legendary potion. I had just 177 glint token because since the new system was implemented, I have not played a lot of battles. Engagements offline kept me offline which has limited how much I play the game. I earn 7-8 glint per win which means I would have to win a lot of battles to get more tokens.

I already had some potions and energy and I was also eager to see what Initiate draw 1 contained. I clicked on it, confirmed payment and got a chaos card as reward. Now, I was curious as to what card I would get and wild expectations were already running through my head.

I opened this card and got Coastal Sentry. This is the water card that attacks twice.

I like that the reward shop is not difficult to navigate and very easy to use. In less than a minute, I was in and out of the shop with my purchased item. The item has bought has encouraged me to get the most amount of glint I can get for the remainder of the season and see how lucky I will get in the draws.

I am also excited to see what are in the other options that were closed for and what future updates will be made. Maybe when my energy is beginning to run out, I will buy some energy from the shop.
