Taking a Breath .:. Weekend Walk in Nature

This week was very hectic and I didn't find a better way to "de-stress" than to go for a long walk in nature... Some people do meditation, some do yoga, some like to kick a boxing sack, go to drink in the bar... I like to go for a walk, reconnect with the source, and take a couple of deep breaths...

01.jpg

I'm aware that I didn't do these walk posts for some time (over a month!!! 😱), and after the HiveBeeCon, where I met @phortun I said to myself that I have to take part in one of his Appreciate Beauty of Nature challenges! I will try to pick one of these photos and share it for his latest challenge!

02.jpg

If you were following my previous "excursions" in nature or some of my Wednesday Walk posts, you can maybe recognize the route where I took this walk... The whole point of my walks is to do them where there are no cars, no people, and sometimes, no mobile phone signal either... 😃

03.jpg

04.jpg

This route is circular, which is one of my OCD obsessions... lol... To not go back on the same path... The first part of the route goes by the river, which you can't see in the photos as it is very narrow, and is hidden behind the dense reed... Speaking of reed, it creates some great "tunnel paths" when it grows in height from both sides of the path...

05.jpg

06.jpg

I took these 2-3 photos just to connect them with later photos in this post... To be honest, I'm not sure what is the purpose of the building, but I suppose that it is probably a pump that directs water for the irrigation system from one side to another... or better said level...

07.jpg

08.jpg

09.jpg

10.jpg

This part of Spain is specific as we don't have cold winters, and because of that, you can see some great flowers during the whole year, not just in the Spring as in other places...

11.jpg

Told you about the tunnels of the reed... Love it!

12.jpg

13.jpg

The small river had a small dam that helped in creating this small lake, or better said pond as it is relatively small... In the image below, you can spot a famous Hivian taking a photo for her blog, without knowing that my photo has her photo too! 😃

14.jpg

15.jpg

Told you about flowers... And this one has literally grown out from the stone wall!!! Nature is amazing! In the photo below, you can see the first medlar flowers and you can already smell it in the air! Take a deep breath!

16.jpg

17.jpg

Some great views of the valley... I was on the way back in the circular route... So, if you look at the photo, what you can see on the right, is the reed was the one on the right side of the photos above...

18.jpg

19.jpg

Do you remember that "pump building"? This is the "upper part" of those green pipes that you have seen before... We are now at the "higher level" where we can see the first half of the route underneath...

20.jpg

On the right side of this photo, you can see the sea in the background...

21.jpg

22.jpg

Already a famous pine tree that I have mentioned a couple of times in my previous posts... This magnificent tree is over 200 years old!!!

23.jpg

24.jpg

Water is life, and Altea (the place where I took the walk) is famous for its water network built in the way that you can see in this photo... It goes through gardens of the area, feeding trees, fruits, and vegetables that grow around...

25.jpg

Last look at the town church before going back to the car... See you next time nature! 😃

Thank you for your time,

~ph~

I have noticed that when I skip a couple of days without the walks, I get sick... But, literally sick...

It's a good thing that you find a time to do a walk and reconnect again with the nature. It always feels good whenever you can do this no, like you were able to focus on the outside and enjoy the sun, the trees, the flowers or just everything. It's a good way to rest your mind too from thinking other complicated stuffs. Whenever I have my walk, I can forget everything and jusy focus on the beauty of mt my surrounding, I can appreciate eveb the smallest or cute plants coz it makes me feel happy.

Anyways, my favorite spot on this photo was the small river, love the color of the water (人 •͈ᴗ•͈)

Thank you! I like water, ponds, rivers, the sea... All kinds and shapes... 😃

The purpose of going out is exactly what you wrote... To clear the mind, to get that needed fresh air, and if you are lucky to go to a place where there are no cars and traffic, I bet that the quality of the air is much much better! Healthy for the mind and healthy for the body!

Have a great Sunday! Take a walk! 😍

I love being out in nature, man. These photos look great. The grass has grown too tall and it reminds me of a bad movie I saw. I'm sure you've seen it too haha. In the Tall Grass.

Who is that famous Hiver? Ms ph1102? 😅😅

It's always great to be outside, in nature... Much better than sitting at the computer all day... 😃
I didn't watch that movie, but as I can see, it's written by Stephen King, it has to be good :)

I think that the "secret" Hiver left her reply... 😛

To keep your home anonymous? :) I think that I didn't succeed in that as everyone knows who is the "secret" person... 😂

What a lovely walk! I can see many pictures here that would make great entries for my challenge and I´m really glad that you did submit one :) I would say enjoy autumn down there in sunny Spain but you obviously don´t have it there so enjoy this, well, let´s call it "summer extension" :D ;)

Yeah, we don't have a "real autumn" here... We have a bit colder January and February, with strong winds occasionally... But, autumn is missing...

Thanks for your kind words... I didn't pick the best photo for your challenge, but it was special in a different way... :)

Yeah, I can imagine, I have lived at a few places in Southern Europe :) With the extreme climate changes though, there might be no autumn here in Central Europe soon too :/ It´s sunny and 20 degrees today again here in Prague, totally unusual weather for late October...

the digital detox and love for walks in nature reminded me of @vincentnijman who often reminds me I need some 😃

I don’t really do a full digital detox anymore but I have set a lot of boundaries with my phone, I only pick it up when I’m ready in the mood or have something specific to do, not out of habit.

Sometimes I think even more than the nature itself, I need to spend a few hours a week with people who are more tuned to a slow life like you find in the country. Like drinking tea slowly

Everyone needs nature detoxification! 😃

I do the same, but then, I sit in front of my computer and poison myself in that way... lol... 😃

Sometimes I think even more than the nature itself, I need to spend a few hours a week with people who are more tuned to a slow life like you find in the country. Like drinking tea slowly

Why not altogether? Drinking tea slowly, with friends, somewhere in the countryside? 😃 That's the real deal!
