Ready For Crypto Bull Run! .:. #MyHiveGoals 2023

As I mentioned in the post about the end of the Binance VISA debit card I will go for a different card to replace my Binance card, I did a lot of research and got my new card! As you have probably noticed from the thumbnail photo, it is a Crypto.com debit card, or better said "Visa prepaid debit card" as they call it... I didn't know the difference between debit cards and prepaid debit cards before diving deeper into this... In a nutshell, these "prepaid" cards can be issued by "non-banks" and they are usually used as gift cards and in our case, as crypto cards...

I didn't expect that my previous post would raise so much interest on this topic and many people suggested some options in the comment section, and many of you wanted to be informed about the continuation of my research and the final decision... I have to say that I have checked all the suggestions that you left and all of them were valid projects. After deep research, I found out that many "smaller" companies had very bad customer support, which could be crucial if you have issues with the card... So, in the end, I decided to go with a Crypto.com Visa prepaid debit card! I tried to avoid it, but in the end, that was the best solution with at least problems, compared to the number of users...

Ready For Crypto BullRun.jpg
Created in Canva.com

After installing the mobile app (there is no desktop login option at all), the verification was very smooth and very fast... After just an hour or so, I was able to log in, deposit funds, and even use my VISA virtual card! That was a pleasant surprise... If you don't need a plastic (or metal) card, you are good to go... If you do need it, the ordering is easy and it will cost you $4.99 (delivery expenses)... After around 10 days, the card arrived at my home address! As I'm not that big spender, I went with the free (cheapest) version of the card...

The activation of the card was easy as the only thing you have to do is to enter your CVV number in the app... You can view your PIN in the app, and to activate contactless payments, you have to use chip+PIN at least once time...

As I didn't want to memorize another PIN, I decided to change it on the ATM (you can't do that from the app)... I had some issues doing that as not every ATM allows PIN change, but in the end, I did it... After just a few seconds, I checked out the PIN inside the app and it was changed! All good!

Can't tell you too much about the card usage, but I had no issues with payment in 3 different places (as I received the card 2 days ago, I couldn't check it more 😃)... It was working online, it was working in the supermarket, and the coffee shop...

Regarding the exchange rates from crypto to fiat, there were some small differences compared to Binance rates, but that was expected... They were not as bad as I had, for example, with my Wirex card...

All in all, that's it regarding this short review of the card... I hope it will last for a long time and serve me well... 🙂 I'm ready to spend those profits from the upcoming bull run!

Let's go back to the #MyHiveGoals part of the post, and as usual, in the beginning, let's check out HiveStats...

hivestats1.png
screenshot from hivestats.io

The chase for the 80K HivePower goal had begun... I'm doing a big bigger daily power-ups than usual to try to catch the goal more easily and on the other side, to get the 11th HivePUM badge... It would be awesome if I could succeed in getting all those badges this year... That would mean that I have powered up every single day in 2023!!!

In the last 7 days, I have accumulated 279 HivePower which is still under the weekly number needed for the yearly goal (350 HP)... All in all, I'm close to 76K and the HivePUD is happening during the next week...

As I said in my previous reports, reaching my LEO Power goal will be hard, but I'm not quitting! I'm on a mission and lately, I'm buying some LEO tokens daily... That was the case during this week too... The price was going slowly down, and I was getting some tokens on the way... 500 tokens were bought and the rest were curation and author rewards!

From the last week's report, I staked 529 LEO tokens more! Now, I'm "only" 3000 tokens far from my yearly goal! If the price continues to go down, maybe there is a chance to reach this goal too!

pg divider203.png

GAMING GOALS - Flexible Goals

I'm closely following my Rising Star goal as the numbers are going up, but I'm not sure that they do that enough fast... lol... As the game earnings are predictable, when you have more cards, you get more fans, and you earn more from the missions... So, I will probably buy a couple of dozen packs more with my earnings if I have to catch up with my goal...

Anyway, I'm very close to the yearly goal with only 640 cards to go! I added 175 NFTs to my collection in the last 7 days...

Regarding my GLX tokens goal, no news about it... I'm unstaking some tokens to have them ready if diesel pool LP rewards go alive... Not selling anything...

pg divider203.png

It's time to update the numbers and put them into the spreadsheet until the next week! So, freshly updated numbers for #MyHIVEGoals, on November 26th, 2023 are:

These are my initial goals for 2023 created on January 15th, 2023:

I'm so excited to see how the Hive games turn out in the next bull run. Splinterlands, Rising star, GLS, etc.

I don't know... They were all heavily hit by the bear and I don't know what we can expect... But, it would be awesome to see all of them thrive!!! I wouldn't mind that at all! 😃

Congrats on your new card. I have the physical one and really like it as it is so heavy. It seems some of bitcoins infrastructure is under attack right now, which is an ominous sign! Lol

I didn't notice that... tbh, didn't compare it with others, but you could be right... I hope it will be heavier as it will have more money on it! 😂 🤣 But that depends the most on the bull market performance... 😃

I had those gift cards won from a website, they are quite smooth and work on international merchants easily.

You Hive goal is achievable and I see a nice HP injection, LEO goals you need to focus more I guess, because last time you said it was quite tough to reach there.

Tell me about Genesis League, is it a good game like SPLD and what's the future trend of GLX will be?

I didn't have any yet, but I heard some great things about them from people who were using them...

To be honest, I'm not that familiar with the current status of the game... I have decided to be involved only on the token side and not actually play the game... Already have too many things on my plate and can't find spare time for playing... :(

ohh nice you got the crypto.com card. mine was the ruby card. it was cheap back then. good luck reaching the 80k goal. 1 more month to go! :)

Yeah, I know that they were cheap when the token price was more volatile and less valuable... As I don't plan to move a lot of funds through the card, I'm not that much interested in cashback or those additional perks... This one will serve perfectly...

Btw. did you ever have any problems with the card?

Things are looking solid. I'm curious about GLX and what's the next step there but right now primarily focus seems to be Splinterlands over anything. Has there been updates about when the pools will go live?

Unfortunately, I didn't hear any news regarding the pools... I had some thoughts about that problem comparing it with the ZING token... If GLX implemented the LP rewards before the staking ran out, the token probably wouldn't lose its value that hard... (as it's happening with ZING atm) Maybe it will after a longer period, but not this fast...
Anyway, it is what it is... Will see what will happen...

Great to hear that your card served you well! Mine was FREE without any staking requirements and has no buy back % at all... As I don't plan to use it for some huge transaction, I'm fine with that...

Thanks for sharing your experience!!

no..no I mean did you have also buy up some CRO ? ... I think all cards need powerup CRO to get all extras :)) If you did nto need to do this ... this is very COOL :)))

To be honest I was get my card very long time back when they had this old MOnaco coin :)) if I text name right still :))) And I was lucky to get all powerup coins and + card free , I think I was in first croup who was get cards in Estonia :)))

And my delivery was 100% free, BUt I was wait my card to get in my hands some 4 months :)))

No, I didn't... For using this card, you don't have to have any CRO tokens... That's why I picked it... But also, you don't get any buyback % either...

ok ..ok :)) but if you make some very big buy ups , you can get 2 % back if you have small CRO in there , I just say . Even just now when you go in shop to buy just food, you can take up some good CRO , and sell it when it is back up in Bull :))

I think it's nice to see that your card went well. Are there different tiers for your card? Or does the virtual one doesn't have any? Or do they just give you more perks for paying monthly?

Nice progress.

It looks like you got the answer already... Different tiers require CRO token staking and from my bad experience with WXT tokens, I didn't want to go into that territory... 😂

I’m glad you gave us good reviews after getting the card. This means other people may also want to get the card
Nice one!

I've got one of those, the only downside is you have to enter your number every fifth time. Also sometimes it does this odd thing where the terminal just declines it and the machine doesn't give you the option to enter the number, in which case just insert it anyway and it's all fine.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I had those issues with my Wirex card (when it was working... lol), but with the Binance card, everything was always working smoothly... Interesting...
The combo with CHIP + PIN should work always... as you said...

Enjoy your new card, my friend. It looks nice. I don't know why, but blue is my favorite card color. It looks cool.

You're steadily approaching your year-end goals. We both have a long way to go and challenging goals. Now I have a month ahead of me and I need 2000 HP 😛

Hehehe... I didn't pick it by the color, but it does look nice... 🙂 It's free, it doesn't require CRO tokens staking, but you don't have a buyback % either... For me, all that is fine... The most important is that it works!

Now I have a month ahead of me and I need 2000 HP 😛

Fingers crossed that you make it!!!

With this one, there are no annual fees... The virtual card number and details are the same as on the physical card, so no differences at all...

Welcome to the dark side of the force, with your crypto dot com card! :)

I kept wondering after I read the news some time ago... Why would a crypto exchange become a member of the World Economic Forum? You know... the entity presided over by Klaus Schwab, the guy with the famous quote already "you'll own nothing and be happy". He must be proud that he said something worth quoting, lol.

Hahahaaha... I was delaying my decision to go with crypto.com, but I didn't find any better solution... I really hope that some better options will come out in the future...

Thanks a lot for your post. The feedback and insights are amazing, as well helpful. Though, I already did some whole process, just some steps behind you, and went my own little path. We wrote two days ago about it that I'm waiting for my card two days ago. It has arrived yesterday evening.

As I didn't want to memorize another PIN, I decided to change it on the ATM (you can't do that from the app)... I had some issues doing that as not every ATM allows PIN change, but in the end, I did it... After just a few seconds, I checked out the PIN inside the app and it was changed! All good!

Now I know that I have to change my pin by going to a specific ATM. I thought it's possible to change it on the app.

... I hope it will last for a long time and serve me well... 🙂 I'm ready to spend those profits from the upcoming bull run!

Fingers crossed 🤞🏽😁🤞🏽

Hey!

You don't have to change your PIN... I did it because it was complicated to memorize it... You can SEE your PIN in the member area and that's it... 😉

Gotcha 😘
And I'm going to do it for the same reason; too many pins 😅, happy with one.

Question;
How do you transfer Hive or HBD from Crypto.com to Hive and vice versa (withdraw) as there are no Hive available on Crypto.com? We talked about the process via Binance.
I read through both of your posts and the comment section, but either I haven't seen or there aren't any discussion about it.
Do you know how to do it and can help me with an insight, please?

Thanks in advance 🙏🏽😌

Lately, most of my crypto withdrawals I do through Hive-Engine... As I have some tokens from HIVE games, tribe tokens, etc... I accumulate them there, and convert them all to SWAP.LTC and then use Withdraw to withdraw to the LTC Crypto.com address, for example... Or you find some other token that you have on both sides (Hive-Engine and Crypto.com)... So, I'm not withdrawing directly from HIVE or HBD at all!

If you don't mind a bit higher exchange fees, you can do a similar thing with one of those 2 swap exchanges listed on Peakd https://peakd.com/@ph1102/wallet/exchanges

The process is similar... through them, you convert HIVE to the token that you want and enter your destination address as a crypto.com deposit address...

I hope I didn't confuse you even more... 😂

Amazing! Thank you so much.
I've just tried SimpleSwap and it works fine. Also, not really higher exchange fees. Actually, didn't see any fees at all. Tried the smallest possible amount; 47 Hive (from Hive) to 0.07464 BNB (Crypto.com). Fast and easy. At some point, I'll try the other way around and your first suggestion;

...convert... to SWAP.LTC and then use Withdraw to withdraw to the LTC Crypto.com address, for example... Or you find some other token that you have on both sides (Hive-Engine and Crypto.com)...

Thanks a lot, @ph1102. I'll buy you a drink in Hamburg 🍸
