Ideas for Overcoming Writer's Block .:. Recap of Hive Humpday Hangout Ep.13 (2024-01-24: HHHLive Show recording)

I had a hard time writing an announcement post for this show and because of that, it was a perfect topic to discuss! As a matter of fact, I didn't have the same problem in writing this recap post, so it looks like shared solutions from the show helped! 🙂

At the beginning of the show, we just had the "core #HHHLive team" participating, but very soon others jumped to the show to share their views and ideas for coping with the Writer's block, the nightmare of every content creator... If you are creating content, sooner or later, you will have that problem and how will you overcome it is usually a personal thing... But, we do have similar patterns as I recognized some of mine in the @palomap3 story! 🙂 That's why it's good to share our issues with others as in that way, others can help us and we can help them!

As we started the show slowly, I had some second thoughts about keeping it informal and "avoiding" this unpleasant topic, but despite all odds, we dived into the Writer's block problem! In the beginning, I shared some of my issues and how I try to "solve the problem", but also, I shared in the show great comments by @jfang003 and @ekavieka in the last post...

It was nice to hear people sharing their views about this, so we had 4 people in voice and others were sharing their experiences in the chat...

  • Fun Pravesh (@pravesh0) joined us from the beginning searching for answers behind some of the account names of people in the audience, but we did pull out some great tips on how to overcome writer's block from him!
  • On the other side, @incublus has a specific problem with stopping content creation in the middle of the process... Check the video and if you have a solution to it, please share it in the comment section!
  • @palomap3 shared her solutions for the problem and pointed out the importance of taking notes immediately when you get ideas for posts
  • the last person on the mic was @manclar, and he had some great, unique ideas for overcoming writer's block! If you don't know what to write, check out his ideas in the video!!!
  • We also had some great ideas shared in the chat!

This week, we had the same number of participants as last time! As usual, we had a great and relaxed aftershow hangout... This part is not recorded, so if you want to participate in it, you will have to be present live! During the aftershow, I shared the idea of doing a "special show", once per month (or similar), where we would have a Q&A session... People could share their issues and problems that they found on HIVE, and others will try to help out... So, there will be no specific topic to discuss, but rather a chat and sharing experiences that we have/had on HIVE... These special shows would not be recorded, so if you would like to participate, you will have to do it live! As usual, I will do an announcement post before doing the show.

A surprise for you: I was inspired to write a post about the writer’s block!! It’s not practical, appeals to the emotional component of writing and is a bit creative, but it’s generated because of all the ideas we shared yesterday. 😊 !DHEDGE

I think I should also write down the topic when I have an idea, lucky that I mostly share my photography, so I write based on the photo that I have. : )

I like all the ideas that people mentioned but I am not sure if I would ever use those unique ideas. I need to take more notes because there is a lot of stuff I consume but never really write about. After all, I usually toss on some youtube on the side while doing other things.

Yeah, I did a short poll after this show about recording and if it is OK with others to be recorded... Luckily, the majority said that they don't mind, so I will try to record future shows, too... Except for some exclusive, special shows which will be only for live-stream participants!
