Ima do drugs

avatar

The question is which ones. It is a pretty packed market and old ones disguised as new ones pop up all the time.

I would say 2022 was not a bad year for the good stuff, and many times I got a taste of that but as with anything good; I ain't got the dosh ya know.

Now this post won't be long, merely a musing which is why it is in my wastebin community.

Progress in life is hard, I am basically too old to experience and too young to complain about how old I am.

However there is a drug for every occasion and needless of your age you can be on the same level as a 18 or 80 year old.

I would hazard a guess my previous years drug of choice was a bit on the stoner side. I had a pretty heavy inclination to binge relax and be left alone.

Now being left alone will never change but "relaxing" is kinda like if you sleep too much then you want to sleep more. It is lazy simply.

Recently I started playing some chess, and that got me back into actually not playing chess but being more deadset on solving things in my coding projects.

I think my favourite drug will always be procrastination but seeing as it is something that avoids doing something else there seems to be room for doing something good instead.

Hence I kinda like the chess route, it keeps me engaged on different levels ie if I for some reason fear playing a rank game I can do puzzles which in turn gives me creative and logical solutions.

I don't design much anymore, and although I might think watching creative things makes me creative that is surely a load of hogwash.

I guess in simple terms how I continue to develop a routine of haphazardous laziness with moments of extreme productivity will depend on what my little weekly pill or experience delivery system provides.

Taking two of the zone me the fuck out ones in a row is not a good idea but taking one surely can be provided it is not Monday.

So as for my drug of the year, I think I will try find some focus; even if it is from the toothless dude in the alley. Now that focus may be a but watered down.

Which just means I need more drugs that work well together instead of one drug that rules them all.

This was a dose of nonsensical; You are welcome.

haphazardous laziness with moments of extreme productivity

I get the feeling it's not laziness, but your mind working in the background. Then when it's ready it delivers the good stuff to your consciousness!

Procrastination is never good and you have to commit yourself to eliminating it as a habit.
But every now and then a bit of healthy idleness and laziness must also be granted.
In life, as the Latins said, virtue lies in the middle eh eh! ;-)
