Music and cinema have been together since they met. We remember great movies and soundtracks. Each song has its own story and its own interests. Some are very well known, others more discreet. Some have been used in other films (e.g. Sinnerman).

The Sinnerman is a very popular song due to the popular version by Nina Simone. However, he is not the original author of this song and it belongs to American folklore. The song was covered by several artists in the 20th century, but one of the first recordings of the song was by Leon Bibb in 1959. The first movie in which I heard this wonderful song (no, not in King Thomas's Secret) It was La Joven by Luis Buñuel, performed by León Bibb. It is worth listening to and buying because it has a lot of rhythm and the sound is really good. Without a doubt, this is a song with tremendous potential.

A few years later, in 1965, a famous adaptation would be produced by Nina Simone, who would star in many films, such as David Lynch's Inland Empire and the (now) famous heist Thomas Crown Break.

Let's skip the many Sinnerman-themed movies, games, and TV shows and opt for Felix the house cat. This is an updated version of this classic spiritual theme spanning the 20th century. XX adapts to each of his musical movements and we adapt well to each situation. Without further ado, we're left with Leon Beebe's version, at least for now and until someone proves that he can do the song well.
