An arrogant friend

People like that are very common; they are confident and arrogant.

I once had a friend like that. Her name is Oyinkansola (honey drop). She's so confident and arrogant. Everyone always complains about her.

But for me, I like her because she's confident. I like her so much for that, and for her arrogance, I used to caution her for that but it seemed it is in her blood.

One faithful day we both went to her uncle's place to visit him, we were well entertained by her uncle's wife. Her uncle's wife was so friendly and jovial as well and I like people like that.

The woman was talking to my friend asking her about her education and some other things. My friend did not give an answer to what she was saying, and that pained me a lot because the woman was calling her and talking to her with respect as her in-law.

So I call on her name with anger telling her that your uncle's wife was talking to you, she said she can hear her. Telling me that she did not come to their house to discuss her lifestyle with her, that she only came here to see her uncle.

I was shocked by her statement, so I told her that do you still know whom you are talking to like that, she said she knows.

Her uncle's wife said she was not surprised by her statement because she knows she was arrogant. As a good friend, I begged her uncle's wife not to be angry with her.

So we left there. On our way back home I told her that the way she responded to her uncle's wife was not proper in any way. I advise that day.

One of our other friends called her to advise her as well because I explained to her what she did.

But she will not listen to us then so we keep on with our friendship with arrogance as well.

And she was very confident in whatever she was doing, a confidence I was always jealous of her for that, and I hate her for her arrogance as well.

We both share things in common. Some people ask me why I was friends with that arrogant girl, that I should stop the friendship with her because other people think we both have the same behavior.

And that one doesn't stop me from playing with her, so our friendship continues like that, we can fight for like two days without talking to each other.

The cause of our fight was always because of her arrogance and I don't like that I hate her for that.

So we both separated because I relocated to Lagos, so since then we are not that closed like before.

I have her number. We only view each other's status on WhatsApp and chat with each other once in a while. But I don't regret being friends with her.
