There are a lot of activities at NYSC orientation camp. Many of them are tailored to enlighten us about being a Corper and serving our fatherland, and some others are basically for fun. The Carnival is one of those fun activities where we get to be merry and explore other traditions in Nigeria.

There are many tribes in Nigeria—371, to be precise—but there were only a few exhibited at the Carnival, with each of the ten platoons representing one. My platoon, Platoon Seven, represented the Opobo tribe.

The Carnival was going to be a form of competition between platoons, so each platoon had to come up with dances, attire, and costumes to truly represent their assigned platoons, and then a winner would emerge. Platoon Seven was assigned the Opobo tribe.

The video here is a compilation of clips from the event is shown to aid in living vicariously through me as I experienced it.

This experience, along side many others, is one of the many reasons I would say my stay at camp was memorable. I am grateful for the wins, losses, exploration of new concepts, bonding with people, and everything in between.

The face of Olujay, yes. Legendary, nope.

The Carnival we had was the first or it's kind at my camp. It was exhilarating nonetheless.

I actually should have put out more stuff like this, but it was quite a challenge to keep up the energy. I'm glad you like it, Mer Mer.

Please, be excited about camp. It's part why I am sharing my experiences and journaling them. It is actually a memorable experience.

Wow, this video version makes a lot of sense as you took us along with you almost physically with the carnival day in the camp. I see a lot of bonding with your mates...the exploration is a memorable one. Hope you made amazing friends and they are coming to hive soon?

I thought that the video would suffice to truly share the experience. I'm glad it worked out.

There are many other videos from camp. Hopefully, I'll be able to share some of them soon enough. I'm encouraged now.

I made quite a lot of friends on camp. I didn't even dull with that one. I think I can keep most of them for long.

Thank you for coming around, Sweet Nkem. I've missed you.

I use Capcut these days.

I didn't think I wanted to do all these NYSC stuff, but my in think differently now that I have been to camp.

Camp is actually cool. It's fun and exciting for the most part of it. Go, abeg.
