Project: Level Up '23: Powering My Way Up || HPUD
I had quite a number of goals that I wanted to reach when this year started. They weren't lofty at all; quite realistic, actually. But somehow, things went pretty differently from what I imagined. I didn't do well for the most part; I let life get in the way and fell behind by a mile. But it's alright now, I guess. I have been doing much better lately. And so, I had been planning to participate in this power-up day today for such a long time.
1000 HP was what I started the year with. I had only been active on Hive for nine months. I aimed to make double that in the next year, taking my HP to 3000 HP, considering that the bear market seemed like it was going to last, and it apparently does. It's the middle of the year now, and I am now at 2000 HP. It could have been much better if I had been present more, but I surely would celebrate my little wins.
This power-up day is the second time that I am participating after being on Hive for almost two years. Instability and inconsistency are the two reasons I'm not getting my game right. But, hey, we're making progress now.
In the month of August alone, I was able to take my HP from 1895 to 2150. That's 255 HP. It is most definitely the most I have made in a month. From the rest of the graph, it appears that August was the sweetest for me, and it's because I showed up more, doing more on Hive than the previous months.
I was already over 2000 HP, so I just did a 50 HP power-up rather than trying to round up the figure. And, with a click of a few buttons and all, I powered up the 50 HIVE. It felt good to do it. It's not massive in any way, but it's a step forward to becoming more intentional.
In a matter of minutes after powering up, our beloved @hivebuzz got buzzy again, notified me, and added a new badge to my shelf of shiny badges. Great job Hivebuzz is doing to gamify a lot of things around, making it all exhilarating to be on Hive with all the records here and there.
To add the cherry on the cake, I reached a reputation of 70 today, or perhaps yesterday. It's been quite the journey so far, and I am grateful to be a part of the entire Hive ecosystem. growing.
Of course, there's nothing much more to the reputation number than a display of how invested one has been in the Hive ecosystem. The real reputation is the one that's not measured by numbers: the relationships and standing in the entire Hive space. What people can say about you, the level of connections one has built, how much of an impact you make in the communities you are in, and things of that sort. That's the real deal. Now, back to the matter.
It's a brand new month and a fresh breath of air, or maybe not. The plan is to put in more effort and make the most of the dip. There's a lot more HP to be stacked, and I am going to grab it. 2,500 HP is the goal for the next power-up day. Let's go! There's 350 HP to bag.
