Extra Weekends For TV Shows

Throughout history, the concept of "free days" has been treated like an unserious day. If I tell my boss that I want a free day, it would seem as if am the laziest or most unserious employee. But as workers, we know how exciting it is when the weekend arrives.

No wonder Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are the most exciting days for workers, and no one likes Mondays 😂. Thus far, the weekends have given us extra days to sleep, catch up with friends, and watch our favorite shows without any major disturbance.

I was looking at my calendar the other day, and I discovered that we have more than 10 holidays to enjoy for the year. But let's be sincere, most of these holidays are just another excuse for kids to get out of school, lol.

As adults, we deserve a break too. I mean, come on, if not for anything else, at least for relaxation and watching TV shows. Talking of TV Shows, I so much love Documentaries, Reality shows, Talk shows, Sports, and even Cartoons, lol.

It's just so sad that the average worker in our generation doesn't see the need for relaxation and leisure time, unlike most of the people of the 80s and 90s who spent quality time relaxing in theatres and playhouses.

Studies have shown that taking time out for ourselves isn't just for laughs, but it boosts creativity, sharpens focus, and refreshes our mental energy, just like magic, lol.

Some countries are already living this "more free days" dream that I am craving. For instance, France has added snacking and sipping of wine into their national holidays. And let's not forget about Spain, where siestas are a sacred ritual. Ah, if I were there, I would have sacrificed this time for watching my favorite TV shows.

Japan also has plenty of national holidays, ensuring everyone gets quality timeout to refresh. No wonder these countries tend to see greater advancements in their development. This goes to show that more free days might just be the secret ingredient to happiness.

For someone like me who became addicted to movies and TV shows growing up, I sincerely think the holidays aren't enough for me. If I had the powers I would make Thursday the new weekend of the week, because the the idea of just Saturdays and Sundays for leisure time isn't giving me all the time I desire.

Most addicts like me would agree that there's this unique feeling we get while waiting for our favorite show to air. Indian movies always do the magic for me, with their mix of actions, comedy, and romance, all in one series. Some of these Bollywood movies could take several months to complete, which is another major reason I would need more weekends, lol.

One of my favorite places I enjoy watching movies is in the local theatre in my area (the Soldiers Club). The experience is usually priceless, especially when you are with friends and fellow movie enthusiasts. It's usually like a journey of amazing moments, lol.

I know many people would perceive me asking for extra weekends just to watch the movie, as me being lazy or avoiding responsibilities (although that's definitely a bonus). But it's mainly about taking out time for myself to engage in the things that bring me joy and connect me to a time when life was simpler and TV shows were king.

As any TV show addict will tell you, the bucket list of must-watch shows is a never ending beast that grows day by day. My list of shows to watch seems to expand greatly with each passing week. But hey, I am not complaining, all I need is more free time, lol.

Trying to convince friends to join me on my TV shows watching Quest has proven fruitless because everyone is busy with work these days. So, give me more weekends, and I'll show you just how much magic can be found in the world of a common television show.

Thanks for your time here.

lol, we all need these leisure times brother. It's just unfortunate that too much work has become a hindrance to us from doing what interests us the most.

It is absolutely right that whenever there is a program or an event going on like this, more holidays should be given so that people who are working can also spend some quality time with their families.
