The Wonders Of Water Drops. #MONOMAD CHALLENGE

I received my Pluto Valve and Trigger kit in the mail last night, so of course, I couldn't wait to start experimenting. I am not going to lie, there were a few growing pains that went with using this system, but once I worked through those, I had a ton of fun taking pictures.

There were many (and I mean many) photos that ended up just not turning out. even this one is not "technically" great however it kind of took a bit of a human form and that is what I was drawn to.

I found that I was constantly having to adjust settings as even the water level left in the valve would start to affect the results. It was a very hands-on project.

Drop size, timing, and flash sync were all key factors in getting good images. I found the technical aspects of water drop photography to be very engaging for me and it was a good way to zone out.

I was even able to get my 5-year-old daughter involved. she loved seeing what would appear on the screen after hitting the button. She was also a bit of a good luck charm because the drops were falling better when she came downstairs to see me.

I am going to leave you with my favorite image that I took last night. I can't wait to experiment with different colors and liquids, continue to fine-tune my setting and drop height and improve my overall results. My final thoughts are that water drop photography can get frustrating at times, but the results are well worth it.

Thank you for reading my post.

I have no doubts there were many many shoots, but these turn out great!

Thank you so much. It does seem to be a bit of a numbers game, but I am learning so much from this process and enjoying it a lot.
