WHAT WAS HIDDEN,WAS DISCOVERED || Talent Discovery
We are all unique beings with different talents endowed in us by our maker. A lot of people discover their talents as early as their childhood stage and begin to nurture them, while some discover theirs later in life. Whichever your case, the most important thing is the discovery and taking action.
Discovering one's talent takes effort sometimes, one might keep admiring the talent of others and wishing to be like them whereas, deep down, the person has a hidden talent embedded inside of him or her. I have seen some people who were helped by others to discover their talents and they become happy seeing what they can do to make a living for themselves. A lot of unemployed graduates out there are toiling in search of one job or the other even with a very good certificate, yet haven't secured any job. Trace most of them, they have some hidden talents which when nurtured, they will be earning to live comfortably for themselves without necessarily working for a company.
As for me, I discovered a talent within me when I am 15 years old and that talent is teaching. I found myself always eager to impart knowledge to others even without requesting that. I once volunteered to be the children's ministry teacher in my home church and I did it for many years. Back then in my high school days, I thought lots of my classmates, especially on subjects they found it difficult to understand by the teacher. I can go the simplest way just to ensure they grab what I know. Even though I didn't take teaching as my first course in the university, I later did a post-graduate study on teaching to nurture this talent of mine and I have worked in some schools as a part-time teacher. A lot of students I came across wouldn't want me to leave their class due to the way I approach teaching jobs. I have made a living through this talent but then, I discovered another amazing talent in me which I paid a lot of attention to nurturing and still nurturing and that's CRAFT
Craft is a talent I discovered in my adulthood, it started like a joke getting my hands to manipulate some little things for home use. Some of the things I did before joining hive, I didn't deem it necessary to snap them. However joining hive and seeing how people unleash their talents here, I decided to nurture this craft in me and so far, these are the craft and knitting jobs I have made.
A small market bag
Pen/pencil holder
A teddy bear
A keychain
Pom pom rug
Jewelry holder
So far, this particular talent I discovered has saved me money on some occasions. As you can see, all the crafts I have done so far are for my family's use. Recently, I received an order from a client to make a similar teddy bear for her baby though I haven't thought of monetizing it. I still have some work in progress on this talent and I hope to keep grooming it.

Wow! You're filled with wonderful talents... I almost forgot that you used to work as a teacher. Honestly, I've never really had that teaching passion but I love the job generally. Maybe someday, I might gain my experience as a teacher too.

Wow, very creative, i respect people that have passion for teaching especially children, it's not easy at all, although I've taught several and was very good at it, i don't have the drive / Passion for it.
Yea...it happens.. some people find themselves teaching without necessarily having the passion 😂

You know, you can combine teaching and this... like I know like mentally disabled kids in institutions are taught to make such handicrafts, you can volunteer teaching to others who are disadvantaged and it will give them a way to earn something...
Although we need to market it as well...
I still remember... I was in a stall to volunteering selling of painting and attire made by acid attacked victims... the proceeds from that go to them... but marketing was done by my friend, she's into helping acid attacked ladies, coz she was attacked with acid with her face ruined because of it but she comes and leads...and its given her purpose...
So something like that...

For me teaching children is the best teaching experience.
When you teach them, you stand a chance of learning motherhood and other things.
This is a very sensitive point and true about teaching and motherhood
For some people it really takes a lot of effort for them to discover their Talents, I can't forget how I suffered before i got mine. Without our Talents is just like having our destiny been wasted, it is through this same Talent that we can make a difference and exploit in our generation. Some could easily come at their Talents by just trying a thing out, others need to be helped to bring it out, which ever way it comes, what really matters is how we use it to affect and bring change in our world.
You really touched me, when you spoke about unemployment. It reminded me of a story, one told us then about a man who has all he needs in a ship but was dying of hunger because he doesn't know that all those provision have been made available until he decide to move around and open some places in the ship only to discover that everything has been there for him long ago. We have what it takes to feed our families and the world right inside of us but we want want we we see trending outside. Whether we like it or not our tunes will never be the same, we must try our best to find our own style and stick to it.
You have a beautiful talent mom, please start thinking on how to started doing your craft for money oh, well if you don't need the money you can be doing it and be sending the cash down here I'll help you save it 😂. Teaching is also a very good Talent I desire it a lot, I really want to build others up but I have small disability in speech.
