THE EVENT

I attended an event yesterday, at first I was skeptical about it but glad I finally made it almost at the eleventh hour. My former boss usually hosts a new year event annually where he invites his family friends, workers, colleagues, and other notable people to grace the occasion. He is in his late 60's, so wealthy and friendly to many people. He uses the opportunity to appreciate people that have contributed to his growth in life. When I was still working under him, I never missed gracing the occasion because it's always fun and filled with lots of value to get. His colleague always gives quick business tips, these men are experienced businessmen who have traveled around the world for different kinds of business. You can't attend the event without having a shift in your mindset. Even after I resigned, the man usually sent me an invite, last year I missed it but this year, I was able to attend.

Of course, such an event cannot hold without food. There were lots of guests, food, and drinks of all types and you get to serve yourself. Right from the time I worked under my former boss, he is the type that cherishes our Nigerian native food. He doesn't eat outside and you hardly see him come to the office with food other than native delicacies. He told me one day that it's more healthy and he would stick to it especially now that he is old. lolz. So yesterday, I saw all manner of native food in the kitchen. Apparently, he is encouraging others to eat more healthy food. There was also fried rice and co but I decided to go with the native delicacies

Ugba & kpomo

After eating the breadfruit with chicken and fish above, I still went for the ugba & kpomo (cooked oil bean seed and cow skin). It's been a while I tasted this food and I took the opportunity to give myself a nice treat.

As if that wasn't enough, I met one of my good friends there who also graced the occasion. Upon discussion, she gave me interesting info about our Nigerian upcoming election. It's all about those that will do a little work on election day with payment. Trust me, I requested the form from her, rushed to a nearby computer center, printed it, filled the form, and submitted it to the right person immediately 😂

One of my goals this year is to make millions of naira and yes, I am intentional about it. If you follow my blog, you will discover that I am not only a blogger. I do any kind of legit business I can do to make money because our economy is not smiling.

It was indeed a nice day yesterday filled with valuable info with amazing entertainment.

Hopefully, this year will put smiles on our faces.
