My Baby's First Step

When I was growing up, I didn't have much encounter with little babies as such, but as a mom of three boys, I have had firsthand experience with the different changes in babies as they grow. One of the most beautiful creatures on earth are babies. If you have been around babies, you know how adorable and lovely they are. Do you also notice that little cent that babies do have? Awwwwww, it's one of the endowments they have from the creator that I cherish so much as a mom. But the more they grow, the less you perceive that cent, and as weird as this may sound, I feel that my baby could remain a baby for a long time so I can keep perceiving that cent and be happy.. just kidding anyway..

Everything about babies is just lovely. The changes they undergo actually begin in the womb. When a woman conceives, she will begin to notice a living creature inside of her within the first 3 months, but at 6 months, the baby will begin to kick and the mother will feel every kick of the baby. The kick is actually a good sign that your baby is well and lively. Receiving the bundle of joy finally at the 9th month is a great happiness to behold, and it also means another phase of your baby's development.

Take a look at this image above; this is one of the pages in my baby's immunization book. Here, the health practitioners explained with images the kind of development mothers should look out for as their babies grow, although it usually varies from one baby to the next. Trust me, those early weeks with your newborn usually came with lots of time sacrifice. The babies are still tender and can't move around as much as they want. They will literally be moving around with their eyes, lol, but as time progresses to 9 months, some babies start making little steps while holding an object.

Out of my three babies, I will share with you my experience with my last one when he made his first step, as the memory is still fresh. Being that he has siblings already, there was this eagerness—or, better yet, this push—that I saw in him to make a step and join his brothers in exploring the home. I was using the baby walker I bought for my first son to assist his steps. The baby walker has proven to play a major role in this regard, and so I made sure to use it for him daily for a faster result. He could hold an object while walking around trying to meet up with the brothers, but when they move outside the living room, he will result to crawling. At 10 months, he was showing serious signs of making steps without holding anything. Deep down within me, I was craving that move so that I could be a little bit free from carrying him all the time. His siblings and other members of my family were also expecting as he kept showing signs.

The day came...
It took everyone unaware... His siblings were playing as usual, and he was watching them while standing up holding something. All of a sudden, he moved 3 steps to meet them, and my scream startled everyone at home. His siblings were extra happy, as was I. The joy was extraordinary, and we didn't hesitate to break the good news to his dad when we returned home that night. From that moment, he kept walking and falling sometimes until it masters him and he loved it. Babies love this little freedom that comes with taking their first steps, as they can explore their environment at will. However, this is another stage, and guidance should double their monitoring as they will turn the whole house upside down. lol, it's all part of the fun anyway, but creating unplanned expenses is almost unavoidable for babies at this stage.

Please note: the second image is mine.

And immediately they start walking, you will have more work on your hand, because they will walk about doing only God knows what...

One thing that scares me at this point is when they are walking and suddenly they become quiet. One is never prepared for the surprise they will end up meeting

you as a mother must be so happy to see your baby doing the three steps of walking, of course without realizing it we spontaneously scream as feeling so happy even though the siblings are shocked of course they are happy to see their younger sibling starting to grow according to their age, and I believe you are a good mother for your children,

Wow. A mother of 3 boys? You deserve a medal for this because I know how difficult it can be to care for boys. My mom gave birth to just 2 boys and I know how we can be frustrating and yet sweet at times.

Indeed, babies are so lovely and adorable. Sometimes, I just feel like holding them forever and praying for them not to get any older so they can still remain my cute babies.

I enjoyed reading through your awesome experience. Much love🥰

At last, madam made her post 🙄😂
Babies are adorable and I also love their sweet scent which makes me move closer to them, but you know some mothers wouldn´t take care of their babies and you will see how they smell so badly. So bad!

Babies do want the freedom to be everywhere around the house, especially when they have older ones, they would also want to move with them and their first step is always amazing which also catches one unaware. They are wonderful creatures from God.

Princess my dear
I am super busy this week....I and my two other friends got a 3 days job somewhere in a company here in Lagos. I managed to drop this post last night after a long stressful day yesterday... I am currently there now but it looks like today wouldn't be hectic like yesterday and that's why I can engage now

Yea, the freedom baby do enjoy by taking their first steps is usually amazing and having older ones makes it more easier and fun

It's indeed a great moment. I can still remember while my brother took his first step. Although it was a normal and natural incident but that time I feel like it was an incident which deserve celebration.
