Bad traveling experience

Hello hivenaija's!!! Trust we are doing great? I didn't discover this topic hivenaija dropped for this week on time because of the travel I was that took me 2days before I could get to my destination, it was a rough and tough one and I never expected I'll pass through all what I pass through for the past two days now

Alot of things has really change in Nigeria now due to present situation of the country, people are really suffering outside there, the issue of dollar rate has really affected our currency to the extend that some of our currency is no longer useful to us because there is nothing it can buy, a currency like 5Naira, 10Naira,20Naira & 50Naira. You will hardly see something you can use 50Naira to buy. All this currency I mentioned is now useless to us

>I really didn't plan for the travel I went for 2days ago. It came as an impromptu and it's a most for me to be in Abuja, because this has to do with my mother's health. Because I didn't prepare for this, the money I have with me to travel wasn't that enough. I knew the money might not really take me to where I'm going, but I never know it will not even take me far. The journey was tough for me, I just couldn't explained to anyone when I finally got to Abuja

The issue of increase in fuel price has really distroy lots of things in Nigeria. Fuel increase affected so many things especially transport. Before fuel price increase, from my place to Abuja is between 15,000 to 20,000, but now we pay x3 of the initial amount. After making my research on the present price for Abuja transport, I have exactly the amount that will take me to Abuja with me without having plan B plan with it. Though my mind was telling me this could be dangerous for me, but I never know it will end up this way.

>I started the journey like play, and when we got to about half of the road to Abuja, the bus I entered got spoilt, which the driver try all his best in repairing the bus, but unfortunately all is effort didn't yield to something good, so he has to return like cutter of our transport to everybody, so everyone can find their own way. When I got my own money from the driver, the money is already too small to take me to Abuja. I was really divastated because I didn't expect this to happen. To cut the whole story short, the money given to me by the driver couldn't take me to anywhere, I have to beg all this truck driver/ trailer driver for help and this make my journey to be so hectic and stressful. I blamed myself for everything because I didn't have enough money with me. Traveling now without having excess/extra money with you apart from the transport fee can be frustrating, because what you never think will happen can end up happening which can lead you to be stranded on the road. For now, i don't appreciate or want to travel a long distance due to the situation of things and i wouldn't advice anyone to risk this, traveling on a long distance without having sufficient cash with you, you might end up begging for money before you get to your destination which you wouldn't like this to happen
