Living it up at Lota
Back to one of our favorite parkruns this morning in Lota, my 11th one on this course. It has a bit of everything, one small hill, some fast flat concrete path, lots of grass, gravel and even some sand.
Some Kookaburra's came out to watch.
Lota has a popular fore shore path that links up all the way to Wynnum.
The mud flats, it was low tide and it goes out a long way in this part of the world.
St Helena Island. Used to be a old prison now a small National Park. Centre of photo on the horizon some nice morning sun rays breaking through the cloud.
Ready set parkrun. 100 people showed up this morning and the weather was perfect for a bit of exercise.
I always try to wave and smile for the parkrun volunteer photographer.
Finish line.
Warm up, 5km parkrun and warm down. garmin screen shots.
Was trying to hodl 4:45 pace, was pretty close. Still 30 seconds off my personnel best for that course but building nicely. Official parkrun time 23:45, 14th overall, 2nd in my age group.
Awesome mate. Nice work and not too far off your personal best for the course as well.
Nice one mate, good spot out there. The wynnum, manly waterfront used to be my local a few years ago when I decided to give the half a crack !LOL
