Christmas is just around the corner, so surely many of you will be busy with the hustle and bustle of these days. As for me, yesterday I went out to buy some gifts for my secret friend and to give to the children in my community, and I found that all the stores were packed with people trying to do the same thing I was: buying gifts.

Since we spent the whole morning shopping, we decided to cool off in a kind of liquor store and have a few beers before continuing our shopping. We didn't want to drink too many beers, just two to quench our thirst and rest our feet.

We decided to order some Polar Negrita beers. This beer is one of my favorites, and although there is currently a campaign against it, I feel that it is one of the few Venezuelan beers that retains its flavor.

Polar Negrita is one of the oldest in Venezuela, so much so that my dad was a drinker of Polar Negra beer, and so was my grandfather. Its presentation has changed over time; for example, the emblematic Polar bear is no longer standing still like before, but now it seems to be in motion. The only thing that remains the same is the color of its bottle, black, hence its name, Negrita, and of course, its taste.

Its typical bitter taste, its hoppy aroma, its usual ingredients, such as malt, water, hops, and yeast, with a perfect 4.5° of alcohol and a value of less than a dollar, makes it one of the favorites of Venezuelans.
