We became jack of all trades for some reasons

Having a skill is beautiful, but is one skill enough? Perhaps having multiple skills will be enough for you to survive.
Firstly, we need to know the country and the society in which we find ourselves. Knowing your country and your society will give you the best answer to whether you should have multiple skills or not.

Perhaps I will use my country as a case study. In my country, having just a single skill won't be enough for you to survive and will never be enough for you to make it out of here. This is because we have a lot of wants, but the resources for these wants are so scarce. And to meet these wants and be able to satisfy our needs, we must have more than just one skill; if not, we might not be able to get ourselves satisfied.

Do not get me wrong. I'm not saying that having a single skill is bad, but it is not enough. First, we need to understand that we are in an era where things change so fast. The skills you learned 10 years ago are definitely outdated now because new innovations come up every single day. Not to mention that now that we are in the era of technology, everything changes in the blink of an eye.
One good thing we need to understand is that if we want to meet the standards of society and move well with the new innovations, we must learn new things.

I'm a perfect example of what I'm saying. 10 years ago, when I was in college, I learned how to fix a phone, both hardware and software. It was so nice, and I must say I'm an A++ in what I learned then, but you will never compare what I learned 10 years ago to this moment as a lot has changed. I realized that most people don't repair their phones like before, and more phones now have insurance.
I started learning more and more about software to meet up with what society wants because technology has grown so well. In my journey of learning, I developed an interest in cryptocurrency and blog chains.

That is how I met hives on my way to search for knowledge. When I got to know about hives, I realized I still had a lot to learn, and I keep learning every good day.

Today, I have more than three (3) skills that can easily fetch me money and make me survive.

Having more than a skills is really good as you will earn respect and be valuable in the society. Not only that, you will be able to fit in wherever you might have found yourself. I meant any kind of situation because you know that if one doesn't work, the second one will definitely work out.

Imagine having a skill in my dear country. You won't make it out of here easily.
More so there is nothing bad in knowing more about many things. I used to be so hungry to learn about new things, and that's what keeps me growing every day.

There was this question I kept asking myself all the time: "What if I don't have a hive?

I asked this question because, presently, I have left my own shop and state to move to another state just because I need to serve my country. Now the question is, I'm new here; how will I survive if I don't have more than just skills?
But I survived easily because I know how to do a lot of things and I can fit in everywhere I meet myself.

We also need to understand that we have people with a higher intelligence quotient who can learn anything at any time, and one won't affect the other.

In summary, having just more than a skill makes life easier and makes you go faster anywhere you find yourself.

Note: I used QUILLBOT grammar checker to correct my grammars after which I have written everything myself

Man Nigeria is a place that automatically teach how to develop multiple skills. Or else you might suffer. Naija doesn't reward focusing on one skill o

The society one lives in plays a major role on if that person would want to pick up multiple skills or not. Versatility is important in the society we live in and it's commendable that you're evolving as the years are going to improve your work.
