Sometimes I wish I understood his language. Another day with my nephew.

What else does my nephew want? It's a good day when my sister needs to attend a meeting. And sincerely, this is not the first time she will drop him off for me, and we normally get along most of the time. But this time around, it is different. Or should I say I did not understand his language to some extent?

It's just the two of us at home; he loves watching cartoons a lot, and to make him satisfied, I played his favorite cartoon for him. I must tell you that after he finishes his break fast, he has been watching cartoons all day. Come and see the seriousness on his face. He does not get tired at all; he keeps watching for hours. I do not know where he always finds the strength to sit down and watch the cartoon for so many hours.

Well, since he will not disturb me, I keep doing the housework because my sister left for work as early as she could. So I need to fix some things at home before they call back.
At this point, my nephew is tired, and he is getting hungry as I study him. So I get his food prepared. I fed him, and he enjoyed the food. And since he doesn't eat what I used to eat, I need to prepare his own food separately.

After which, when I'm done feeding him, I drop him off to watch more cartoons so I can fetch some water and fill the house. And that's where the problem began.
He doesn't want me to drop him; any attempts at dropping him, he shouts. I tried changing the channel for him and adding another cartoon, but he still doesn't want me to drop him. The fact is that if it is not dropping him alone, I will understand.

But this boy doesn't want me to drop him, nor does he want me to sit down, which means I have to stand up till he's satisfied. The fact is, I've got to respect him because I do not want him to cry at all. At some point, I need to start dancing. I know it's funny, but he believes me. I danced, and maybe after dancing he will allow me to put him down and continue my house chores.

Well, none of my plans work out. After standing for some minutes, my hand started shaking when I realized that I needed to do something else.
So I placed him on my chest and laid down on a chair; perhaps he would agree. Well, he doesn't complain about that. I was like that for a good 20 minutes until I realized that he just wanted to sleep. He dozed off and went to sleep, and after I realized he was already deep asleep, I tried to place him down quietly so he would sleep well and I could continue what I'm doing.
Honestly, I wish I could just understand his language by telling my uncle I want to sleep rather than giving me work to do by standing for some minutes.
