My parents my best friends

Growing up with my parents is something I'm always proud of and something i enjoy as a child i grew up in a religious family where we have strong faith in God i could remember very well how Dad use to wake us up in the middle of the night for prayer well that is one thing I'm still doing till date. I'm not yet a parent but then when i get married i would like to emulate one or two things in how my parents taught us while growing up because i believe that is what we are still doing till now.

Even when I'm not with my parents i found it difficult not to tell them where I'm because it has been my thing ever since i was a kid i will always tell my parents my journey and they taught us this.

There are things my parents taught us and I'll like to teach my children too

My parents are my best friend
While growing up my parents make us as their best friends that is there is nothing i can not discuss with my parents 😂 don't get me wrong when i say there's nothing i really mean what I'm saying in fact to the extent that if I go out and see someone i like let assume a lady i will get home and tell my parents expecially my Dad 😂 that i saw a fine lady today and we will crack a joke about it this has always been my way and till this moment i always tell them everything about me and i will also wish to pass this to my children because ever since we were their friends they always guide us to the right path, for instance we tell them something that doesn't worth it they won't shout or beat us rather talk to us as friend and this is helping us alot.

They gave us all same training
One thing I'm always happy about is the training i received while growing up for instance how to cook good food my parents doesn't say because I'm a guy i should not learn how to cook but no I'm always in the kitchen with mum while my sisters will be there too at some stage i start cooking myself and I'm enjoying that now that I'm alone.

They tell us stories
Honestly this one is what i love most every night my parents use to tell us stories about life in general and what they have passthrough in their own life this is one of things that guide us to the right path.

So far so good my childhood memories with my parents is something special to me because i have time to live together with the two of them the marriage is so sweet and they tried their best in training us but believe me there is no perfect marriage anywhere we just have to manage each other lols 😆 in that case i have few things i won't allow or do to my children in their childhood.

There's just this one thing i don't like when mom and dad start quarell in front of us and say all sorts of things this is what i personally dislike and i find all ways to stop it but what can i do because it happens most of the time but apart from this everything else is fine so when i happens to be a parent i will like and make sure this act doesn't happen even if we are going to fight not in front of the children, well i just hope i will be able to achieve that.
