In all of my quest I am hoping to become a successful farmer not just in planting of crops but raising of domestic farm animals. My late mum passed on this beautiful legacy to me. I have watched and learnt how she had managed both growing of crops and raising of animals, we had quite a large number of goat, chicken and guinea fowl then in addition to few chickens.
Ever since her demise I have remained Faithful to growing crops which have helped my family with our food needs but the animal production parts were halted due to several reasons .
One of which is the availability of land that can contain both myself and the animals. I dearly wish to have a cottage with a very large compound/varanda that is well fenced where I can possibly live and grow my animals.

Farming 🧺 of crops can be done even if it is a thousand miles away from home but with animals we have to live in close proximity to them. I am hoping that this dream will be achieved someday.

Yesterday i was working at a neighbors poultry. She is a very good farmer like my mum and has successfully raised all the birds you will be seeing here

I could see broilers and layer chicken, the guinea fowl, the duck fowl and can you see the bunny.
You can see them all running away meaning that a stranger is around and they were all quite shy to see me.

The bunnies were the first to run away, going closer to their store I made a count of about 15 of them which might not be the actual number

The birds were almost a hundred all together with exception of the guinea fowl and duck 🦆 which I didn't count .

The first task on the poultry farm was to run after a guinea fowl that had grown very long feather and jumped out of the fence.
Morning duties often include feeding all the animals in the farm and changing the water in their drinking through. Some of the birds are freed to enjoy some walk and running around the compound

That was when this guinea fowl ran out of the fence, I'm not good at chasing a bird 😃 but three of us were successful catching this bird.
Actually two of them ran out but we were successful and caught one, one was lost in the neighborhood but we are hoping to catch it at night if it is able to find a sleeping place in any of the neighbors compound, if not it will become food for any dog that comes across it.

Immediately I have advised my friend on what to do about the birds.
My mum will take a knife or scissors to cut off it's long feathers which we immediately did before releasing it.
