Should financial competition exist among people or peer groups?

Hello Hive

Basically we hear about the richest people in the world from time to time and it makes me want to wonder if this announcement is just to let us know or that the pronounced wealthy people are in competition with each other about who is to maintain the status of the richest person in the world.

I wanted to write the title intro as the richest man on earth but chose the women instead, willing to know about the richest woman we have and how she made it there, the men are usually more commonly pronounced.
A woman may not be able to measure up to a man financially but this doesn't call for an argument here🤓

Yesterday @jjmusa2004 was talking about equality and how we were never born equal or to maintain the same status in life with each other. One will always be greater than the other and there will always be the rich and poor etc.
I learnt a thing right from there.

"You will break down early and easily trying to measure up to people financially"

"You do not deserve what they earn as income if you are not ready to pay the sacrifices they make to achieve such success"

I have on countless occasions compared my portfolio with friends and peer group buy regardless of how hard I try, they never measure up.
Learning all of the above and that all fingers are not equal helped me alot.

Alot of people are overworking themselves not because they do not have enough but that they want to have more that what their friends own.

Contentment is equally a virtue to watch our for in our financial race.

Equality is important and many organizations and people working for it which is fine but in reality we will not get 100% success in that because not every person's thinking same. Mans are more richer here. I wish that women will reach this status to and compete with the man,

Great post

It is good to consider others at some points but not necessarily measuring up what and who we are with them

Because we're not equal in our capabilities, comparing ourselves and trying to measure up to them can easily become exhausting. Contentment is indeed a virtue.

Financial competition is something I don't encourage because of it negative impact on competitors. Some people even lose more why chasing after others, it's best to be contented.

We should work for more and compete with others
