179 LOH; Indirect Learning

Hello ladies, I welcome you all to my blog. Hope your week has been good? I wish you all the very best in all your endeavors.

I believe learning can be done in a direct way that is, a situation where by someone (a tutor) teaches another person by showing him or her what to do or by explaining to a learner how to go about a thing.

While learning can also be acquired indirectly, that is through observation. A situation whereby someone just observe what a friend, sibling or elder ones are doing. Then the person start emulating what he or she had learned indirectly from such a fellow. Today I will be sharing with you all one of the things I've learned indirectly from my mother.

One of the things I learned indirectly from my Mom is the act of buying things in bulk. Talk of toiletries, foodstuffs with ingredients, she buys them in bulk and store at home for future use. Whenever Mom goes to the market for restocking, you will think we are planning for a party.

There is a local way in which Mom preserves blender pepper in glass bottles that doesn't require refrigerating at all, this makes us have blender pepper at home for weeks. Mom doesn't have to run from pillar to post to look for what to cook at home, we eat comfortably no matter how little it might be.

This makes life easier for us all in the house, even if my parents don't have much money at hand, the mere fact that foodstuffs and ingredients are already stocked in the house makes living so convenient for us all.

During childhood I always wonder how Mom does the trick because it baffles me how her calculations are always accurate. If Mom should calculate that a particular foodstuff will last for 3 weeks then it will, she is just so good at it. But what I noticed is that, my Mom always frowns at wastage, so this makes all her plan work like magic.

As I grow older, I started implementing what I've learned indirectly from her and I see it work. I now understand better the importance of avoiding wastage and buying things in bulk whenever I have the money.

I so much appreciate my Mom for this wonderful hack that I've learned indirectly from her because she never for once sat me down to teach me this wonderful act. I'm not letting go of it at all because this hack is a real life saver.

Thanks for stopping by!

I think this is one I learnt indirectly from my aunt, dad rarely does it at home but I'm glad I learnt it too.
Buying in bulk saves a lot of time and money.
