Did I still need more holidays?

Holidays are free periods away from work, it's a wonderful moment that almost everyone loves because you get to do whatever you llke without been forced to do it. Already in the Nigeria constitution, certain days are marked out as public holidays.

So come what may the days will be observed cause nothing can change it. If you are conversant with my post regularly you would have known the kind of work I do. For reference purposes I'm a teacher, so no matter what happens whether the holiday is for either the adults or children it will surely be observed by schools.

All public holidays of the year are my leisure time couple with the school vacation periods. If I should calculate the number of days that I usually have holidays in a year according to the school calendar, it's up to 97 days, over three months in total out of twelve months in a year....omo I dey enjoy o but money no dey teaching job😭

Breakdown of how my holidays run
The first term of an academic session starts in middle of September and it runs for 13 weeks. Never forget that there will be resting period of 2 days to observe the "mid term break" before schools finally closes in December.

Then 3 weeks holiday will be given to us which will run till middle January. So my holiday from middle September to middle January will sum up to 23 days.

Then school resumes again for the second term in middle January and just like the first term, the same cycle also continues in which we will have 2 days mid term break before schools finally closes and we will be given another 3 weeks holiday. I will also enjoy another 23 days holiday from middle January till early April.

After that, third term which is the final term that rounds up an academic session will start early May. This term has lots of activities and it's the most enjoyable term because there will be preparations for graduation and prize given day. There will also be 2 days mid term break before schools finally closes at the end of July and we get to enjoy a premium holiday.

Third term holiday is the sweetest, a whole 7 straight weeks will be giving to us for relaxation. Plus the mid term break, I get to enjoy 51 days holiday, hmmm this one thick o. Never forgets that, in between the terms there are also public holidays that's mandatory for the school to observed.

So tell me, did I still need more holidays? Definitely NO!

Presently, I've been on holiday for the past 2 weeks and I still have one good week to enjoy myself before school resumes. Had it been I'm not a teacher, I would have been clamouring for more holidays because there are some jobs that don't have a resting period apart from public holidays or when you call in sick.

Moreso, my birthday which is a special day is in late July when schools will be on holiday, so as it is now I have more than enough free time to relax and use for other profitable things.

For me, all I need for now is to know how to make more money to better my life and not more holidays because I've already had more than enough.

Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful weekend!

I think one of the people in Nigeria that enjoys holidays most are the teachers. From the midterm, weekends and the rest.
