Meu time

MonstroObjetivo

Hello Splinters, welcome back!

Splinterlands is a game that touches our creativity. We can and must form several teams, create strategies, deal with the variety of combat forms and, of course, overcome our opponent. To do this, we need to identify which are the best monsters for the situations and the best way to do this is to read what the community is sharing, do a lot of battles and study our battles and even when we don't emerge victorious from the battle, we can learn great lessons .

There is a huge variety of battle rules, each with its own characteristics and functions that change the dynamics of the match. It is not easy for those who are just starting out to understand each of them, but only practice makes perfection. Imagine how many rules we have and multiply by the possibility of them being combined, the result is battles that are completely different from each other and I didn't even mention the amount of mana! Splinterlands is an incredible game with lots of possibilities for fun!

So today I prepared a battle with the Keep you Distance rule, where things weren't very good for me, but I left with a great learning experience and an experience for you to experience with me. Let's go!

This was a battle in which three rules were active, and they were not easy rules to deal with. Starting with the Noxious Fumes rule, all monsters were poisoned and would suffer damage at the end of the round. Legendary and melee attack monsters could not be chosen. Additionally, 23 mana was available, a low amount for the match's difficulty demands.

Summoners

I chose a water element summoner, as he was at his maximum level and could help me get more strong monsters on the field, but this was a mistake. My opponent bets on speed and gains extra shields, which ends up hindering me a lot, as he dodged most of the match.

My team

MonsterObjective
I imagined that my opponent would use a lot of magic attack monsters so I chose a monster that could resist that.
My second monster was chosen for its good magical attack and for giving extra damage through its Blast ability. Furthermore, it could block the opponent's healing of the hit monster.
My second monster was chosen for the Cleanse ability, which would prevent the tank from taking damage from Poison.
The last monster was there to heal my tank for a few rounds.

Round by round!

The first round was a real disaster, my opponent had a much stronger team offensively than mine and it didn't take long for his devastating attacks to defeat my tank. There wasn't even time for my last monster to heal him. I imagined that my tanks would be resistant against magical attacks, but I made the mistake of betting only on this type of defense and I was easily succumbed by this large offensive and lost my main point of support.

My opponent had all his monsters at maximum level, it was easy for him to defeat the second monster, which was in the tank position and didn't have great defenses. At that moment I realized that I would not be able to leave the battlefield victorious.

I reach the end of this battle with two unattackable monsters facing an enemy arsenal. You already know the result.

My mistake in that match was not preparing myself adequately against any type of attack. In a match like this, it's easy to premeditate what could happen and I was naive and predictable and still faced a very strong opponent. Here is the lesson for the next opportunities and I will prepare myself for all possible situations.

It's great to hear about your battle strategy and the lessons learned good friend. Sometimes the best insights come from our losses although it's sad to lose. I appreciate the detailed breakdown of your approach and the reflection on what went wrong
