Beer Saturday With A Bottle Of Goldberg

I've never been a fan of beer ever since the day I witnessed a guy fall into a pit after getting drunk, the thing scared me so much that a liquid could make someone seem like a crazy person. At that time, I thought even a sip from a beer could get anyone drunk so I ran from it anywhere it was offered to me.

But that thought changed when I saw a lady drank more than five bottles of a popular strong drink called Star and didn't even act like she drank that much, she was still talking fine and didn't stagger as much as I had expected. That was when I figured it depends on the person drinking to get drunk or not.

My Dad loves to drink beer but his favorite must be those sachet strong drinks, little sip would get my eyes turning on their own 😅 but it doesn't move him at all and he would always say he feels good after taking them. I'm yet to understand how good one feels when he or she takes a beer.

This morning, I woke up thinking on what to share for the #beersaturday when dad said he was going out for a drink, I suggested he went for a beer so I could have some shot of him and he agreed. He would have wanted to take some Gin instead but he decided to take a bottle of Goldberg this morning.

Goldberg is a premium quality lager beer here in Nigeria, it is an old beer and I've sold out a lot as many Nigerians enjoy it from what I've seen since 2010. Dad had ordered for Star Radler but the store owner didn't had one so he had to settle for Goldberg.

Not his favourite but he said he could drink any but never the one they call "77" 😂 I don't know that one and I'm wondering why not that one but I didn't ask though.

I had to ask him to drop the glass down to the table lol, this is my dad pouring some of the beer into a glass. I wonder which one is better for the beer lovers, drink from a glass or from the bottle directly? 😂

Did you notice the beer isn't chilled? Dad was so specific about getting one that isn't, it rained heavily at night so he couldn't risk having a cold drink too this early.

Look at that smile just because I asked him to look at my camera instead 😂 he got shy and he was the one who asked me to share his face on my blog too. Well, I think this came out well enough. I've got more but I'll only share these.

Dad is still out but I want to think that he didn't get more bottles to drink 😅 if not, I think I should increase the quantity of breakfast I'll keep for him since I've learnt that beer could cause more hunger once it wears off or did I get that wrong?
