Wanderlust: Embracing Long or Short Distances in Travel

As Much as I love traveling, I hate packing so much, that I would sometimes want to cancel because I don't know what to pack or because all the clothes I want to carry can't fit into a tiny box.

I know it's funny to see a girl that packs very little clothes for a trip , but that girl is me and I'm her hahaha.
I hate anything called stress, so most times If I'm staying for a week, then I would carry maybe 6 or highest 7 clothes and make sure there's extra space for new things that I might buy throughout my stay there.
I never carry extra clothes for some reason haha.

Honestly left for me alone, I'd want to travel empty handed and just get new things there and waybill them home separately after my trip has ended.

I usually pack my bag a day before traveling, that way I won't have to leave some things behind which never happens.
I never liked eating before traveling too, I would always starve until I got to my destination, it was only after doing that for several times I realised the reason I usually had headaches was because of that habit.

I also don't use my phone or even listen to music when I'm on a bus, I'd rather listen to the noise outside and just enjoy the breeze and the journey without any distractions. After all, you don't get to see places like that everyday.

Long or short distance journeys are all fun for me . I don't prefer anyone. At the end, I just love traveling and as long as I'm sitting at the window seat, I can stay in the bus for hours travelling to a new place.

But there's one thing I hate about long distance journeys which is traffic. I always get sick whenever there's traffic on the road because I get to perceive the smell of fuel and smoke coming from car exhaust. And the worst part is you can't close the window because of the heat so you'll just have to put up with the smell.
But aside from that, I love traveling.

The longest time I've been on a bus was 5 years ago. I only remembered this memory on seeing this week's prompt. I traveled on the road for 15 hrs which was a lot for me because All my life, the farthest place I've been to is Port Harcourt which takes less than 5 hrs to reach.

We left Bayelsa around 8 am and reached Lagos very late at around 9 pm. It was a very fun journey for me because i had to see so many things on the road.
We made a stop at several places to get food and also use the restroom, but in all, the journey was very fun, coupled with the fact that I was with my friends and we sat close to each other so we gossiped throughout the journey . Okay maybe we took a nap at some point hehehe but it was fun.

Bayelsa to Rivers State should be like a two-hour trip but I guess it was your first visit.

Packing is not so easy because even at the last minute, you might just be remembering things that you haven't gotten. Personally, I even go to shop for items I take on my trip on the day of the trip. It's just somehow 😀

No it's more than 2hrs the least is 4hours unless you're not stopping at pH main town.

Yeah, but I barely forget things so I do pack everything I need a day before and never open to bag untill I get to my destination 😅.

Really? That would be very stressful coz shopping on normal days is stressful too
Thanks for reading,😊

Hehe, I know some people can be too lazy to pack their stuff before and after travelling, but for me, I enjoy doing those things and I can never stay on a bus without listening to music haha.

I popped in from Dreemport because I am an awesome #dreemerforlife.

I guess we all have our preference of the kind of things we pack in our luggage for traveling. I'm never the type to travel light or else it is extremely necessary. I prefer packing everything I need with extra pairs in case it is needed. I don't even like traveling not to talk of long distance travels.

I love traveling a lot whether short or long distance. I make sure that I pack every belongings that I will need where I am going. What recently reduced my love for traveling is insecurity in the North. I travel mostly around the North. Traveling is fun and educating.

Most people are scared of travelling to the north because of the level of insecurity. It's so unsafe over there.

They're other fun places in the south you can visit too😊,I'm sure you'll love it here.

Come on girl 🤣🤣
How would you want to cancel a trip just because of packing
Okay maybe I’m saying in my head 15 hours isn’t a long journey because I love traveling
The highest I’ve sat in a bus was for 23 hours and I loved it ☺️

Haha 😂 I can't laugh. So you would prefer to travel empty-handed than to pack you bag 🤣.
Travelling is always fun especially when you're in the company of friends and families.

I also like to travel without luggage although it is not always possible. But having to carry a suitcase is my least favorite thing. In fact, I prefer to use a purse or backpack and if I can take it with me, all the better. Glad to read you. #dreemerforlife
