The Medal And Melinda's Wishes - Freewrite

You did it, Mel. Congratulations!!!
The headmaster said as he placed the medal on Melinda's neck and a loud applause was heard in the hall. She smiled and held the gold medal in her neck with the thought that she finally got all she had been wishing for as a runner.

Just as she was about getting down from the stage, she found herself in a place that seemed like an island, she saw a beautiful young lady holding a wand. It felt like a dream until the lady spoke to her in a voice that sounded so beautiful.

You won the medal Melinda, it is a magical medal and only pure hearted people get to summon me with it. This is a rare chance, make your three wishes
The lady said.

Melinda believed all she heard as she had always wished for such an encounter, she asked how much time she had to make her wishes.

You have only three days to make your three wishes and you can not wish for long life or more wealth
The lady replied.

I wish that I become better in my studies
She is reminded of how bad she is at studying but good with sports.

Give just a few minutes to your books daily and your wish shall be granted.
The lady said as she raised the wand above Melinda.

The next day, she held the medal and was with the lady again. I wish that my dad returns safely from his military assignment.
The wish came to pass that same day as her dad returned with so much goodies and smiles.

Mel knew this was the time of a great opportunity that would change her life so she thought even harder for her last wish. And she wished that there is a way for her anytime she is faced with a challenge, a way that make her win no matter.

It is granted, you have used all your wishes, goodbye Melinda
The lady said as she disappear into thin air.

Melinda got all her wishes granted but it turned out they were all going happen even if she didn't had to make them as wishes. It was just a medal to the others who were present at the event but it was more than a medal to Melinda because of her dream to have a magical asset.
