𝑺𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒔 - "Only Hope" Music Inspiration From 2002

In the year 2002, my family was expecting my younger brother who would be 21 in two months time. That little baby in the womb is now an awesome singer and loves anything about music. I listened to a song that was released that year and it made me wonder if some of the awesome musicians we have today have got anything to do with 2002.

You won't blame me, a lot of my music love connects to that year and I'm still in awe with more of my discoveries. One of them is the song "Only Hope" by Mandy Moore which I got the opportunity to listen to for the first time last week while I was seeing a movie.

I don't know if you'll agree with me on this, it takes a lot for a song sang just once to stay in one's heart and play a part in making one find inspiration from it, right? This song was sang once in just one scene of a movie I was engrossed in but somehow, after the movie ended, I was downloading the song to my playlist. A lot of songs was sang in the movie but this one got me wanting to listen more and let the lyrics talk to me.

Only Hope is a song of hope as said in the title but there is a line in the lyrics that hit deeper no matter the number of times I've listened and sang along with it. The line that seem to be the highlight of the song for me but isn't even given much consideration, the line I smile to and find really inspiring even though it doesn't seem like it.

Have you looked at the sky to find a lot of stars and then try to draw an object or image with them?
If you have, then you could relate to the fact that I do imagine the stars moving on their own and making calming sounds that only I can hear. I've always imagined what a song from the stars would sound like and it takes me to the bible, the eternal life promise of God and the songs of the angels and redeemed at the end of time.

Beautiful, uplifting, spiritual, heart warming... I think of the songs of the stars, I think these words but I can bet that it is only but a little compared to how exactly one would feel to listen to those songs. While I'd want to keep thinking deep to what that line of song have made me think through, I can't help but think that Mandy Moore, the singer herself has a voice that sings the song even more than the words say.
