3 Hive Tips: A Newbies Guide To Setting Goals For 2024

I'll be very practical with post since I've written a lot about the theoretical aspects of growing your account on Hive in many of my previous contents. So this is going to be about sharing how I plan the time I spend on Hive and even though I don't earn as much as some people, I'm also not earning badly to not continue how I do my thing on Hive.

One thing any newbie should have in mind wether on Hive or anywhere in life is, having an open mind to welcome new ideas and knowledge for growth.

It is one thing that has helped me even as an oldie on Hive, I keep learning and filtering out what isn't needed to stay consistent with what favours me most and the journey continues no matter how big my account grows into or how popular I get in the future.

Before I share the practical tips, I'd love to share more into why every newbie should have set goals for themselves whether there's a new year or new month coming. Goals are like a force for who is determined to get something done, one sees goals as a motivation and focuses more. One with no goals tend to procrastinate more or never gets anything done.

Working with deadlines seem to work like magic for me and some persons I've come across, why not try it out for yourself if you haven't before? You might just find it easier to achieve small and big goals on a good pace.

An important point to note before you read my practical tips is, Your Hive account is an asset, worth more than the amount of dollar you see there.

It isn't about how much you can earn when it comes to growing your account, that is important too but for newbies, that shouldn't be your focus at least until you've known well enough to navigate Hive on your own. I would always advise my friends who onboard new users to Hive to guide them closely at least one or two months, that is because Hive is vast and has got a lot for one to learn before doing things well enough on their own.

Well, I didn't get the chance to stay under the shadows of onboarder for that long as he gave me the path and asked that I walk on my own to make the mistakes and grow with them. As a fast learner, the mistake didn't happen as much as expected and today, I can very much say I have more to offer Hive wise.

3 Hive Tips you may need to set your goals on Hive for next year.

One thing many newbies tend to do when they get started out on Hive is following what people of higher reputation are doing with the hope that it would draw more attention to their accounts that way. Even if it could work for a tiny percent of newbies, it is the easiest way to get discouraged and at worst, giving up on Hive early.

  • Set your own style: Why did you join Hive in the first place? Before Hive, what did you enjoy doing? Share stuffs about them and make people want to know some interesting things about you or around you.

  • Be dynamic with it: Don't stick to just that, learn new ways to improve on them. No, don't imitate people and call it learning but instead do it your way and don't make people know for doing something one same old way.

The important point to take from this tip is that you have a time set to share your contents, make your contents unique and different, stay original and don't force it when you can't sometimes.

Recently, I read a post from @nkemakonam89 emphasising on the important of replying to comments on your posts and how it says well of you to those you reply and any who come across your blogs to just go through your comment sections. With that said, every newbie must know the importance of engagement and the role it plays on every hive account.

  • Set goals to engage on others posts: Doing this daily will slowly become part of you and you will grow your audience significantly. Don't just leave comments that lack feeling or show that you didn't read the post at all. Take your time to read and comment or go to the next post.

  • Reply to comments on your posts: Don't just write your posts and dump them, check out for people who found interest in what you shared and appreciate them by replying. Even when notifications fail to notify you or you missed some, take time to check your past blogs to reply any you might have missed.

Engagement has proven to grow your audience and build connections between many Hive users, you see people chat under posts like they've met before, it's all the power of engagement, be a part of that come next year.

Yes, a lot of us joined Hive with the mind of writing contents but I'll advise you explore other ways to earn here to be sure of where your strength is most. There is the aspect of making quality videos and diversifying with it, there is the investment aspect where you get to keep growing your portfolio not with posts rewards. There is the gaming side of Hive, whatever works best for you, go for it.

  • Hive is vast and we must think outside the box to use it to maximum it's uses.
  • Join initiatives to try your brain on something new.

These and many more tips are practical things to have in mind as you get set to plan your 2024 on Hive. I hope these helps and I'd appreciate any feedback, any question is welcomed as well This is my response to Hive naija prompt and you're invited to participate as well.

You are absolutely right, after all the chair lady or rather, the whale has spoken 😜😂.
Engaging in others posts and dropping nice comments goes a long way in making the authors happy.

Likewise in one's post, replying to a comment makes the reader glad to know that his time and effort put in reading through the post was not in vain.

Hive is a vast platform so remaining in an enclosed circle won't help anyone who wants to succeed and grow in hive. One has to think out of the box and be creative as well.

These are awesome tips 😍. Any newbie who happens to come across this post should know that he just stumbled on a magnanimous fortune 😂😂.

Glad to be replying to put a smile on your face as well, together we smile as we keep growing our accounts 🤗

I'm honoured to have shared this, hopefully newbies who really need them will find them.

You are good, I mean when I think about one of the ladies doing well on Hive, you come to my mind. Your consistency and effort in growing your account are second to none, I most times wish that I could be as determined as you are but since I have got a lot of busy days offline, I most days tend to skip, and this causes lapses.

Indeed the dynamic and doing your own style caught me, what makes one's account different and interesting for someone else to want to visit is doing something different from the usual and I think you've got that right because you are doing a lot of things differently making me. wonder how she does it.

I hope that from next year, I can plan my days well, to help me set and accomplish my goals both online and offline.

Thanks for this tips.

The more posts I read on this topic, the more i learn that i have ao mụ to be done. Tip 3 is what am starting to do only recently. I'm just learning to not just rely on posting alone. Hive is vast and I understand that they're other means to get the best experience out of here.
I'll be taking all of these tips hook and sinker, although am not a newbie and next year, I go harder.

These are awesome tips Merit. I love how you added that it is important to diversify on the hive. Be it the content creation, gaming, or even staking second-level tokens. I've come to want hive much more for these things.

I can say that you are doing well for yourself here too. Well done girl.

Great tips for newbies. I don't think I follow them all but them again I just like sharing a story every now and again when a good post prompt comes up rather than get maximum value from branching out.

I'll admit I totally agree with responding to responses. If someone takes the time to respond is worth acknowledging their effort. Also if your going to respond to a post as you said make it a well thought out response.

That is it and surprisingly, it is a lot more fun on Hive that way if you do it. I hope you're loving your own style.
