Very touching love story. It pays to be brave and truthful. if he had ran away and didn't stand up for the love he had for her, her father wouldn't have even accepted him ever.

Yes, it's good to be brave. Balogun wanted to be sure of how brave he was because a warriors daughter mustn't marry to a scared cat.
